Erm.. I should probably start by saying that I do believe there are people with illnesses so if you have whatever problem then please don't be offended. I personally however, also believe that people are really looking for problems to have. I find that alot of the time people want a problem, doctors want to pass out pills and make money everyone wins (sarcasim)But, alot of my life I have been wondering if I might be add or adhd or something to that affect. I don't really have problems when it comes to some things. Games in particulay.. I can get really into certain video games and things like that. But, when it comes to say school. Even if I love the subject (chemistry I like) I really can't pay attention to save my life. It is stuff that really does interest me.. but, in classes such as chemistry.. I find my self staring into blank space more then anything else. Resulting in a bad grade >.<Even in history which I excelled in.. I never really paid attention in class unless I could actively participate in conversation.Soo anything I can do to help lenghten my attention span? I have no interest in getting checked by a doctor.. adn the whole "study 20 minutes.. go eat and relax 10 minutes then come back and start again" doesn't work for me.How can I keep my focus? Its too late for highschool this year less then 17 days left.. so Its really just I gotta pray and hope my chem teacher is lenient. But, how can I not get caught offgaurd in college? I do plan on trying to engage in more 'converstaion' rather then just trying in vein ti listen. But, how can I raise my attention span as a whole.. and no medication. I could use a boost for my memory too while I'm thinking about it.. I have nearly no short term memory. Its like trying to run vista with 256 megs of ram.
This cut is constantly bleeding
But I know that I am wrong
Lay your head down so you don't remember
Everything you are and everythin...
Use notes for the memory issue. As far as being ADD or ADHD, I don't know that I would throw that diagnosis on you. You just seem to be a more verbal person, that is the way you learn and retain. In college, do your darnedest to be in engaging classes, the college counselor can turn you to the instructors who are more verbal.
