Be warned - the above link will take you to a site that you might find offensive. [at least a few parts of it - as I did] If you read it and suddenly feel even more removed from God - stop reading it. Never allow a person [or website or whatever] to sour what may well be a genuine interest [on your part] to have a relationship with the One who created you. That said..Here is a quote from that above linked site that offended me. It's not the first time I've heard it - but it offends just the same. "Despite the politically correct crowd’s claim that masturbation or pornography are not problematic, here’s a simple fact of life - these activities are done in secret and are thus destructive to any relationship. If it is normal why is it done in hiding?"To be blunt - isn't 'shitting' done in private? Should we - therefore - assume that going to the bathroom is 'sinful'? I've always hated that silly - 'it is bad because it is done in private' argument against masturbation. [or anything else we may do] And not so much because I totally disagree with the points that are being made [generally speaking] but because it's a nonsense argument. GREAT BIG HUGCraig!! ps and this is coming from someone who believes very much in God and Jesus, etc.

Hi jcbotha!!
I'll respond to the private message you sent me - here - because your membership is set up NOT to accept private messages.
You asked me [more or less] to explain why I responded to the twowayz site so negatively. I'll tell you why. Before posting this message - I took yet another look at the site - including the forums. My gut feeling tells me that something is 'up'. I could not help but get the impression that those posting on the forums [for instance] are NOT who 'we' are being lead to believe they are. In other words - the language used - the way the sentences are formed, etc., is not age appropriate. I can't help but think that all of the messages are posted by the either the same person OR by the same group of people. The image of several people sitting in some church basement kept coming to mind - each trying to SOUND as though they are 'real kids' asking 'real questions'. I've been involved with message boards for years and have reponded to literally thousands of questions from all walks of life. I've developed a sense of WHO it is I'm REALLY talking to. Could I be wrong? Sure. But that's the feeling I got.
As far as the rest of the site is concerned - it's far too typical. By that I mean - basically useless. [and I don't mean that to sound as nasty as it may sound - because I THINK those who created the site are TRYING to do some good - and that - in of itself - is not a bad thing] But it reminded me of that old saying, "preaching to the choir". As far as I am concerned - telling people to just 'trust in the Lord' isn't good enough. It means nothing. It's a 'catch phrase' that has little to no meaning to anyone who has yet to meet the Lord. It is NOT the 'answer' to every problem. [unless you ALREADY have a relationship with God - then - maybe - it might mean something] But most people who are struggling with life - have been burned more than once when it comes to 'trusting' someone or some thing. So to be told to 'trust' something ELSE ... well.... is advice that is falling upon deaf ears. That being the case - the site fails to extend 'its' hand to those who may not already know God. And THAT being the case - it serves little purpose.
That all said. I'm sure some might appreciate the site more than I did. I'm not trying to suggest that the site should be avoided at all costs. It's not THAT bad. But 'kids' aren't stupid. [even though many may ACT stupid] They know when their leg is being pulled. They might not know WHY they feel the way they do - but WHEN they feel that way - any message is going to go in one ear and out the other. [even a message that is as important as the one about having a relationship with God]
Keep in mind - this is just MY opinion - on man's opinion. If others feel otherwise - and DO get something positive from the site - that's great.
GREAT BIG HUG
Craig!!
