Shes moving away
is it oversea's distance?
how old are the ppl? anyone have a job? or a car?
think all of these make a difference
How old are they? I personally don't think that I could have ever done a long distance relationship in high school. There is just so much that I would have missed out on...half the fun of high school and even college is dating and meeting new people. But if they are truely in love and both committed to staying together, the relationship might work. But again at the same time, we tend to believe that holding on makes our love stronger when sometimes, its letting go that does.
Moving can be insanly hard. When i moved this yr i was so insanly sad about leaving my bf especially b/c i thought our relationship had just started adn im sure ur friend is probably the same way. Long distance relationships generally dont work well especially if someones highschool or below. They are both gona change alot in even a few months and im sure that eventually (Although they will not like to admit it now) there will be someone equally as perfect for them. I think try to stay friends via email/im/phone. After a while the sayingh "absence makes the heart grow fonder" just becomes a lie. altho im sure ur friend doesnt want to let go of him shes gona have to eventually and once u understand that it gets easier, sometimes slowly, but it still will.. hope i could be of some help
This is kinda funny because I was wanting to ask the same thing. Me and my boyfriend just started going out on July 12. He moved last Sunday because hes going to college but I'm still here and in highschool. I love him and I really want to make it work. If your best friend feels the same she's gonna try it too. The bad part is that it's REALLY hard for me not seeing him all the time. We talk every day on the phone but I still miss him SO much. The first thing for them to do is make sure they trust each other. Believe me, if they dont trust each other 100% it WILL NOT work. If they still decide to keep it goingmake sure they agree to talk at least every couple of days. This is really easy if they both have the internet and some type of messenger or email. Maybe one of them has a cell phone because some plans have free nights and weekends. My boyfriend just got a phone like that so we can talk anytime past 9 or on the weekends. Also, having a webcam would help alot because they could see each other. It would also be great if one of them has a car? They could split gas money or maybe if its too far to drive, a plane ticket. They need to see each other though about once a month. IT HELPS! They could also do stuff like take pictures of themselves and send them or buy them things that reminds them of each other. There is mail still ya know :P If they are in love like you think, they can work it out. It will be hard at first but every thing will work out in the end!!
Here. A little jealousy
I hope you think of me
Hope you wonder where I sleep at night
I have been away from my significant other since the beginning of this year because of this Iraq. Going on 8 months. We're hanging in there and holding strong. Her, shes keeping busy by working days and going to college at night. Me, well I am just living each day at a time til I see her beautiful face.
If you're willing to be committed and work a long distance relationship, do it. Its worth it. You also have to be trusting and trust the other person!
