I'm 16 and i've been eating alooooot of sweets all my life and i've been having some symptons of hypoglycaemia and I was wondering if there was a home test I could do to check before I freak out. My families a little poor atm so the cheapest way possible would be great (even though going to the doctor is obviously the safest and smartest thing to do)

May have diabetes

Hypoglycemia=low levels of glucose in blood
Hyperglycemia=Diabetes=high levels of glucose in blood
I dont think eating lots of sweets can cause diabetes. Diabetes is caused when you produce low levels of insulin or donot produce it all. Insulin is what keeps glucose levels in check and regulates it. There are symptoms present in a person like need to pee more often, weight loss though you are eating healthy, feeling thirsty/hungry more often etc etc. If you dont have any of those symptoms then you maybe fine.........but you can definitely get it checked by a doctor to clear your doubts.

It's often popularly thought that a high sugar intake tends to induce type 2 diabetes but the main risk factor is obesity rather than sugar intake. The original test for diabetes was if the urine tastes sweet.
