Any one know signs of a computer virus?

Computer oddness

It depends what the virus is. Sometimes the computer might seem slower than usual, or it may crash sometimes. But of course there are other possible reasons for that.
I tend to run scans whenever the computer doesn't quite seem its normal self, just in case (though you should run them every so often anyway). You should have a (regularly updated) anti-virus program that scans everything as it comes in, but it doesn't hurt to do a scan of the disk with it anyway, in case something came in when it was very new and the anti-virus program didn't then have it on its database.
In addition you should scan with at least one other anti-malware program. Some anti-virus programs protect against viruses but not against trojans or worms. I'm using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, which is free for the scan-only version but has a good reputation.
If those show nothing, it may well be a hardware fault.

I use Malwarebytes and Eset here at work to find garbage that gets through.

i have ran every thing but i don’t; find anything. It is going slower and my firewall will click off and then come back on. The screen has stopped shutting down though. I get kicked off the net sometimes. The new AVG thing i have runs for rookits too and even that is clean. spd will they work with a anti-Virus scanner?

If you have the original Windows disk (assuming you are running Windows) it might have a repair option, in case the OS is corrupted. If this happened after installing something (even an update), it might be worth trying Windows Restore to take it back to where it was before. If these don't work, you could try a cold reinstall of Windows, but that means re-installing all your software. And it might turn out that it's a hardware fault.

Yeah they run fine regardless of what you have installed.
