I've had testicular pains for a week or so (little dull aches) and after that the pains kept coming and going at random times.. this time it felt like the epididymis or some of the cords, I went to the doc's and he did physical examination and said some of the veins or something..that connects ur balls to the rest of ur body is swollen due to alot of fatty foods? (meat/cheeses) and that I should lay off alot of that for a while and will probably will return to normal size... but he said if I want to I can do a testicle ultrasound, Sorry for making this long but can anyone help me?, has anyone heard of something like this(my illness)? Or am I being stupid and paranoid? Or should I go and get the ultrasound? They rarely hurt now. Also when I fart I feel a weird tingling sensations in my balls... if that has anything to do with it lol. Thanks alot to everyone who replies.

Well why don't u listen to the doc and lay off those foods and after a while if they don't unswell then do the ultrasound.

that thing you sound about farting sound familiar. im having a bit of a problem with my testicles at the mo but i cant seem to find any solid proof of a problem. I think when you worry about you tesicles it increases thier sensitivity and you feel things youve never felt before. Ive had this wierd stomach ache everytime i think about something bad happening to them. If i were you i would chill out, go on a bit of a diet and just to put your mind at ease have the ultrasound. Because then you will know for sure if there is something wrong.

You likely have a what is called a varicocele, which are varicose veins in the scrotum of the blood vessels that carry blood from the testicles back to the body. What happens is tiny valves inside the veins fail for unknown reasons, and this causes blood to backup in the veins due to gravity, and the veins swell, get twisted, and can cause pain, like a dull aching feeling that comes and goes. Varicoceles feel like a bag of worms inside your scrotum around your testicles. Most of the time, a varicocele occurs on the left side, although they can happen on either side. Varicoceles are very common, affecting about 10-15% of all guys past puberty. They are usually harmless, but they can cause infetility from low sperm counts, or poor quality sperm, because the extra blood pooling in the veins raises the temperature of the testicle, which needs to be several degrees cooler than body temp for optimal sperm production. Large varicoceles can also slow down the blood flow to the testicle, and can cause it to atrophy (shrink in size). In fact, varicoceles are the #1 cause of infertility in men, however it also the most treatable problem. I know all this, because I had a large varicocele about 4 years ago, which I had corrected with surgery.
