After-death

Has anyone thought of when you die, you are reborn again and just dont have any memory of your previous life??

In reply to: Has anyone thought of when you die, you are reborn again and just dont have any memory of your previous life?? Since the population of the earth is always growing, most people alive now would have to be "new souls". It seems pointless for god to have reincarnated us (since we have no memory of our previous lives) if he is constantly making new people anyway.

Hmm, reincarnation is actually the theory that makes the most sense to me out of any of the religous deals... Sure there are a ton more people now than in the past but that could be the addition of new entities mixed in with the older ones... No "god" creating any thing, just karma setting in and a natural order of things in death- just as normal & natural processes happen in life. You die, float around for awhile, till its time and you get caught in a whirlwind current and then born again. A natural process of sorts which is unending...I'm a very logical person, reincarnation just appeals to me I guess. Hey its better than dependin on some mythical god, ya know?
-
If all the existing entities will always be here, and there are always new ones being made, we're in for some serious overpopulation
-
Aren't we heading that way already?
-
who says there are boundary limits in the supernatural world? As far as the Earth goes, yeah we're overpopulating. The three things that controled population are pretty much fading. Sickness, Famine, and War. Not even war is all that bad anymore, I mean people scream when 100 people in war get killed over a year time period when back in the day it was well into the thousands.
-
reincarnation does make sense. I believe in karma as well as instant karma so if a bad person doesn't get what they deserve or a good person doesn't get what they deserve a 2nd, 3rd, or even infinate chances may be given. I mean heaven and hell would be pretty crowded by now and lots of disputes between time periods would happen up there if it weren't true lol.

ive never fully contemplated what will happen when i shuffle off this mortal coil. The way i see it ive got enough to think about in the here and now that wont matter in the future. Then i can think about the stuff in the future when it is the here and now and it will matter then as well. Basically i think for the moment. that moment could extend weeks, months, whatever, but the long term dosnt really pique my interest. if you focus on the horizon too much, you dont notice all the pretty flowers lining the path. or the bear traps that life leaves out for you.

all science are theories and nothing else, spritual and regligious studies are real
-
the more science discovers, the closer it gets to religious truths.

anyone ever ask a dead guy what happened after he died?no really?anyone ever see the "dead guy" that someone asked, to find out what happened after he died.no,i didn't think so.did you know what you were in for before you were born???no.it's not that bad here is it?no.i'd guess if anything at all other eternal nothingness happens, it'll be quite similar to being born.got it?thats my logicas good as anyone elses.cause it's all specualtion.thats fact of the matter.dont worry yourself about the 'next life'.it'll probably be just as good or bad as this one if there is one.so live for today, and reap tomorrow.blablabla

hate to disagree with you (actually i love it, otherwise banter would just be 2 people agreeing with each other) the majority of religious truths are fiction. i cant be bothered to re-explain my stance on religion, basically im not for it and nothing you could say or do would convince me of this. however, yuo did say spiritual truths are real to. by this im assuming you are meaning the process of self discovery (if you want to call it taht). if any of the things you discover about yourself are truths, which i disagree with too, then they would have to be the most insubstantial of truths. spritual truths are constantly remoulded and reformed, reacting to everything you see and do that affects you

its why i generally dont think about this stuff. living for the moment is what i fully intend to do, for as long as possible i.e till i realise im 36 and working in a supermarket grinsi can see the flaws in not planning ahead, sure, but i just cant seem to care about them right now
