I've been on my job for a year now and basically i hate it. its your minimum wage job which has a few bonus but not many. i have progressed from the minimum wage to a decent enough wage but by no means could i afford to live on it if i wasnt living at home. so i think about getting a new job... then i think can i get a better job which i actually enjoy and get at least the same pay and which is convenient. i dont have any major qualifications so i probably think no. are there good jobs around like that? if so who has one? and anyone else why dont u like your job? mine is boring and repetive and its so tirng and people think work like this is easy...it fucking aint!

Who likes their job?

I love my job, but my Dad employs me(He hired me w/o qualifications), but what do you do that you hate so much.
-
i LOVE working at the movie theater

Well, I did start my job only a week and half ago and I'm starting to loath going. I thought I'd like it, but sometimes the patience I thought I had isn't there. I work with hospital patients and my nights (12 hour shift from 8pm to 8am) can be both good and bad, depending on the patients' night. I am living off of it and my wages. Might eventually look for something better paying unless I get a raise sometime in the future to make it worth staying.

I've only been working at my job this summer, as a cashier/trunk unloaded at a small family owned grocery store, and it was actually alot of fun and i liked it.

Eddie, honestly… if you want to “fun” job, with going out a lot, doing different things every day (when your working), and lots of time off (usually for 3 days and have 4 off!), try working with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. The money is actually pretty good (I usually take home between £1,000 to £1,300 a month). Yeah there are some down sides to it (like with all jobs). But to tell the truth, 80% of the time I’m at work, I’m sitting on my ass watching tv
-
Well I just quit so I love my job at the moment
-
No. I'm starting another job soon.

I liked my job at first but now it's getting to be more of a pain (literally and metaphorically). I drive a truck for a living at our local parts store. And you know I'm a firm believe that girls can do whatever a guy can but I also firmly believe that some girls are just better suited for it and I'm not one of them. LOL I haul batteries that weight more than I do and brake drums that that weigh 100 lbs. or more. Springs, rack and pinions..you name..I haul it. Anyhow, I'm with you on the new job thing. I'm looking too. My back hurts all the time. Some things I can lift like I'm supposed to. However, it's like fighting Beelzebub to get any guy to help out. A lady's battery went dead the other day and she needed a jump but no one would help her. She even had the jumper cables.
I'm looking for a new one too. But I'm looking in the right spot. I'm trying to get my transcript from my nursing school so I can take my CNA certification and go straight to work in a hospital. I'm ready to get 'er done. lol

I'm an underwriter for a large local insurance company. Been there 3 months. I still quite enjoy it, as an underwriter i can decide weather to take on risks or not and if so how much we'd like to charge etc. No case is the same and you get some really interesting ones. So at the moment its good, going to goto university next year and theres a branch of the insurance company i work for there. I always said i wouldan't get in a 9-5 office job but its great. I wanted to be a copper but the shifts can be crappy at least doing 9-5 i only actually do 7 hours work (1hour lunch), cool people, cool city, can't complain. Insurance is actually fairly interesting, im actually suprised. Good stuff.

I was a network technician for a year and absolutley loved my job... In fact I miss it.I'm looking toward getting a paper route soon working at 3am or whenever I feel like delivering papers. Basically self-employed, 15 hours a week, about $12,000 a year. Sounds pretty good to me.

I agree! that is a fab thing to do!! never boring and always fun! doing that sorta thing for work experience got me interested in that area and is why im going that way for a career. is fun and always unpredictable, ya never know what is gonna happen in the day. It is very easy money too, always a good thing I love my job, being a waitress and working with the people that i do, its brill!! shame its gonna end in a few days (End of season). although its less than min wage (i think), it is worth it, also think that getting paid weekly helps, is good to always have 100 odd quid in my pocket every tuesday!Ed, quit the dam thing!! how many times!

I like my job. I love training people. The only bad thing that I could see about it, is your income is never set. Sometimes I'll make $3000 a week, and then sometimes I'll make $400 a week. On most holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving, my weeks are slow and I'll get lucky if I can pull 2 sessions a day. LOL, I remember last Christmas I one session M/W/F so I made a whopping $120 that week.It gives me the freedom to pretty much set my own schedule and work when I can. I get a free membership to the gym for workin there, so I have great access to weights and cardio equipment. I like it, but I wouldnt mind starting my own farming operation. I miss livin in the country sometimes. I geuss the old sayin is true, "You can take the boy outta the country, but you cant take the country outta the boy".I bounce from time to time. I used to bounce every week when I first started college and wasnt workin anywhere else. Now I only do it when my friends need the help. It's ok, but the tax-free $10 an hour sometimes aint worth it (like when you get a beer bottle cracked over the back of your head, or hit with a pool stick, or smacked with a heavy-ass purse). The plus is you get into the bar free when some of the popular local bands play, and you meet a lot of women while workin. If you wanna be a fighter, bouncin will definately make you learn, lol. I try to stay away from it now though.
