How many people have done this? In Leeds I see loadsa asian (arab and Indian) guys with white girls but only once have I seen a white guy with an asian girl and this pisses me off cos so many of the asian (as in indian) girls are gorgeous . Theres this muslim girl in my class but she's deffo a no go area despite being drop-dead beautiful, she's way to religeous (muslim)...indeed I dont think she's allowed to be with white guys in that way (we becomming good friends though). I'm finding myself thinking about indian girls all the time. Maybe its just cos I cant have them (many of them) but I now really want them bad Things were simpler when everyone around me was white

Relaytionships with other cultures...

You dont want my opinion....trust me

My step dad is white and my mom is puerto rican. I see no problem with an interacial relationship.
-
I'm in one but my answer for you wouldn't help because you're not like that. Shouldn't you like a person for their personality and not just their culture or nationality? This world is messed up. Steve help!

If you like her its worth a try, if she likes you she may even change. I wouldnt put much thought into race, if you like them you like them. If you find Indian women more attractive thats cool. Seems to me like you are rushing around trying to find a partner, just relax and let them come to you. Finding somone is simple all it takes is time but becoming emotionaly involved is harder because it takes time and effort. If you really like her ask her out to lunch or somthing, just because she has a differant culture doesnt mean she will flat out say no. If she does say no then ask why that way you wont be left in the dark wondering why she said no.Dont muslem women have to do what men tell them in their religion? I was told they cant even speak to a man unless spoken to first. If worse comes to worse tell her to suck your cock if shes a true muslem she cant say no

Helms your the smartest guy around! But I call Steve to bring in a more... logical thinking to matters I think we can all agree that this world is messed up. Let's go to Alaska. Or Antartica. Somewhere so cold people will be too cold to think. Just an input. Asian guys are spicy hott. I was close friends with a Japanese guy (you know I went crazy over that but for the wrong reasons) but everything that came out his mouth was perverted. Everything. Including the greetings: "Hey there. Are you f*ckable today?" Nice. Real nice. Oh and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
-
As it happens I'd rather Steve didnt give his views on this as he's always patronising and unhelpfull.
Again I'm not sure why the hostility. I asked for people to speak about something of which i know little. I dunno whats wrong with you people. Should i not seek advice and instead live wondering and in ignorance? You mock me but you wont help me.

"My step dad is white and my mom is puerto rican. I see no problem with an interacial relationship."Are you even reading my post? I said I want to get with an asian girl, not that there was any problem with multiracial relationships.

Not like what? You dont make any sense! If your in that kind of relationship then your exactly who I want to hear from. And anyway you dont know me atall, you dont know a thing about me.
In reply to:
Shouldn't you like a person for their personality and not just their culture or nationality? This world is messed up. I would never not go out with someone based on their culture! I once went out with a creationist despite that I'm an avid atheist! Are you even reading my post? I'm saying I like these people. Why is that messed up!?
What the fuck?! I'm tlaking about how I DO want to get with someone of a differnet culture to me and now your syaing how the world is messed up. Do you not see how completely wierd and unhelpful that is?
In reply to:
Steve help!
Fuck Steve. I dont wanna hear a thing from him to be honest.

In reply to: You dont want my opinion....trust me And so you bothered posting...why?

In reply to: Dont muslem women have to do what men tell them in their religion? I was told they cant even speak to a man unless spoken to first. If worse comes to worse tell her to suck your cock if shes a true muslem she cant say no Muslims vary a great deal. Soem muslim girls dress and act just like westerners while some do not.

I dont undertsand you people. I would never refuse anyone help based on the kind of community and values they grew up with, which is exactly what your doing. You think your so morally superior to me, well your the ones discriminating against me because I seek help and advice. Apparantly all prejudice derives from ignorance...well then maybe you should enlighten yourselves to the fact that some poeple were not brought up where you were brought up and other people have the right to try and alleviate their own ignornace. This place is starting to live up to its name. I'm becomming increasingly afraid to ask.
-
Muslims vary a great deal. Soem muslim girls dress and act just like westerners while some do not.Ya man, I know I was just joshing you with the dick sucking part lol. But I seriously think you should ask her out, I wouldnt let a culture differance get in the way if you like somone, its worth a shot right? Whats the worst that could happen, well the worst is that you ignore your feelings and let her slip by and spend forever wondering what could have been. If she says no because of her religion just tell her you understand and carry on being friends. Even if she says no I think you will feel it to be a big relief to know how she feels.Sounds like youre having a bit of a bad day mate. I dont think anyone was trying to be hostile to you as such just maybe not understanding your original post properly. Anyway if youre going to ask her out post back to say how it went.
-
I wont ask THIS particular girl out, but by god I wouldnt not ask an indian girl out just cos she's indian. I wont ask this girl out cos she really IS too religeous no matter how you look at it, or maybe more too do with her culture than specifically her religeon but I dont wnat to go out with her, I'm happy with a friendship (with sexual tension...ah the best loved friendships are made of those ). Its just that she cant come out with the rest of us very much cos we always hang out at bars and stuff and she doesnt drink (we try to explain she could come and not drink, but I think she's scared of being tempted). So you see its more how she's chosen to live her life than the her colour of skin that I wont ask her out. There are other girls out there, white and otherwise. But thanks dude I appreciate your advice.Happy christmas

HelmsmaN> Contrary to popular belief JapanFan, Steve isn't God, so I doubt he can help. Heck, he doesn't even believe in "God" as far as I know.I believe in myself. Your musings on karma, shamanism, and the vengeance of the Earth Mother for our bad behavior are interesting, but have little to do with the subject of this thread.JapanFan14> Shouldn't you like a person for their personality and not just their culture or nationality?JapanFan14 is not God, but she nailed it. Or, as Martin Luther King said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” I'm sure MLK would have extended that to ethnicity and religion.StrapingYoungLad> As it happens I'd rather Steve didnt give his views on this as he's always patronising and unhelpfull.Thank you sir. May I have another?StrapingYoungLad> Fuck Steve. I dont wanna hear a thing from him to be honest.Thank you.Hopefully you're evolving toward a point where so much of what you see and think won't be refracted through the prism of people's race and other superficial characteristics. If you visit Iran, the U.S., and many other parts of the world, you'll see that that your generalizations about Moslem women don't hold.I've met Moslem, Jewish and Christian women (who would identify themselves as adherents to those religions) who were very conservative, and others who were very liberal, in their views on dress, dating, and drinking. It is true that, when families emigrate to another culture, they sometimes hold fast to their religion and other aspects of their culture; it's possible that the average Pakistani (man or woman) in England is more conservative than the average Pakistani in Pakistan. But there are others who want to assimilate as quickly as possible, to the extent that their new culture will allow it.StrapingYoungLad> Muslims vary a great deal. Soem muslim girls dress and act just like westerners while some do not.It sounds like you already understand that. The bottom line is that some people will be too conservative or too different for you to make a go of a serious relationship with them, regardless of their ethnicity or religion. I don't think you'd have much more luck with a conservative Christian or Jew than you would with a conservative Moslem. If your culture includes going out and drinking, and you are unwilling to change that, for example, then you are a challenge to people of other cultures, beliefs, and values, who might otherwise be interested in dating you.If someone is too conservative in their cultural or religious orientation to date you, so be it. If it happens that a lot of women who fall into that group are Moslem, so be it. Move on. Look elsewhere. The fact that they may be very attractive changes nothing.OK, your last post makes a lot of what I wrote (which I wrote before I saw your last post) seem redundant, if not moot, but I hate to waste prose, so I'll post it anyway.

In reply to: OK, your last post makes a lot of what I wrote (which I wrote before I saw your last post) seem redundant, if not moot, but I hate to waste prose, so I'll post it anyway. Exactly what I was thinking as I read your post, which was frankly entirely pointless. I have made no generalisation about muslims, quite the contrary. Nor am I judging people buy their outward characteristics. Basically your comfimring my aforementioned belief that anything you post in this thread would be entirely unhelpful.
-
Your original post is entirely pointless, and this whole thread is entirely pointless. Go back and re-read your original post. What are you saying? What are you asking? Do you want us to say, "Yeah, it sucks that you can't have a relationship with that Muslim girl!", or "Yeah, it sucks that you can't find any other way to entertain yourself besides going out with the blokes and boozing, so she'll never take you seriously!"What is your point? That life sucks? So far no one can figure out what you're saying, what your asking, or what your point was in putting up the ambiguous, quasi-racist first post. Will you ever get over the race hurdle that's always in front of you? I don't know how you were raised, but is it really that difficult?Keep working at it. I wish you luck.
-
I think if someone else is of a different culture (never mind race, it's irrelevant) then things are more difficult, because you have to learn your partner's culture. That can be mind-broadening and invigorating, but it can mean you have to think more and take less for granted.
-
I think its fun dating somone whos pretty differant to you it really opens your eyes to alot of things you never once thought about. Also it means you have somthing to talk about.
-
Oh wow dude, I'm sorry jeez. Never again. No need for the bomb attack. Or cursing. You totally missed my entire point. I never said "there's nothing wrong with interracial dating", or getting along with people from other nationalities or anything like that. I never even mentioned it. So really... I have no idea what you're talking about. I simply said or at least meant that you shouldn't like a person because of their race or nationality but simply because of who they are. You said this asian girl you want to get with specifically indian. I just think that's for the wrong reasons. That's why I mentioned the other guy I liked for the wrong reasons. It's not real if someone wants to go out with you simply because you're white. And it's not real if you want to be with someone simply because they're asian. It's happened to me and that's what people have to look out for. Unless you're just experimenting or something. I didn't want to mention my own situation because in previous things you've opposed most of what I've said so it's like hey what's the point.
