Not sure if they were independent sources. Maybe they were...who knows. Have you seen the film Mean Girls (or better yet, read the book it was based on, Queen Bees and Wannabes)?

What Should I Believe?

lol Are you kidding? No I can't say I've done either. So you are saying you find it more likely that a bunch of girls got together and decided to make up a story about this guy because he's a jock?
-
I have no idea what the deal is with "all these girls" that the "friend's friend" was talking about. You realize that the source was the friend's friend, right? Maybe the friend's friend was jealous, or had it in for the guy...who knows? It's all based on the friend's friend's word. I don't think I'd judge someone based on that.
-
I don't think I would have asked around about the guy. If I felt anythink hinky I'd be out of there with quickness. And she must be feelin' something or she wouldn't have asked.

Only time will tell.

Too True. But when I'm right I'll expect you to fess up!

No problemo.

I think you are missing the point as well. I'm getting conflicting advice from everyone. On one hand, some people are saying not to listen to hearsay and to make my own decisions based on my experiences with him. But other people are saying that people don't just make up rumors these and that they did not come out of no where and I should just leave him alone. What am I suppose to think? And I wasn't defending him. He was surprised when I told him what I heard and I just told him that he needs to be more aware. Was that bad to say?The point is that I dropped it. I can't get mad at him for something that I don't know is true or not. Unless he does something to me, I can't really tell him anything. If you look at my past posts, you will see that I've dropped it. Gosh.

Don't listen to hearsay.
-
What am I suppose to think? You're supposed to see what other people think, and then decide what you think. No one here is all-knowing. Either way, a mistake wouldn't be a catastrophe. That's how we learn.

Well said.
