Hi,I've been having sex with my girlfriend for about 5 months now, and about a month and a half ago she had a UTI and was treated. When she was given the urine test there was originally no UTI causing bacteria in her urine, but her doctor said that that is sometimes common for it to not show up all the time and that she'd send away for it. If anything was to come up, as in a viral infection, she was to call my girlfriend. She received no call.A few weeks ago we were having sex and she felt pain in her abdomen, under her naval, and we stopped having sex. She now has stomach pains and has had them for a few days, but that is it. We have not had sex since it hurt, but we were doing it in a position that allowed me to penetrate deeper. Sometimes we would have to switch positions. We don't always do a lot of foreplay, and i know that when it hurt we did none at all - we were in the shower. She does have generalized anxiety disorder for sure, and has had stomach cramps and everything before due to being so nervous. She says that the feeling in her stomach is similar to that of a period cramp but she's not having her period.Do you know what this could be?

Pain during sex
-
Maybe hitting the cervix?

but wouldn't that have been happening months ago?

Lack of foreplay may keep her from relaxing and naturally lubricating. In the shower would be a problem, but you might try a personal lubricant. Also if you were penetrating deeper than you have, you may have been hitting her cervix and that can cause pain. Also, with her anxiety disorder she may be convinced now that there will be pain and so there is.
