Its impossible for you to get access to the drugstore? Have you already cut your legs off? Anyway, sorry for trying to help.

Would you like to make the 10-mile trip for me?

Heya, I think you've got a thing called "osgood schlatters" (cant spell it!?) which basically means that its growing pains. It's to do with the cartilage and the bone just behind and right under the kneecap. Does it hurt if you press gently under your kneecap? It can start any time really, but is most common in teenagers. It should stop/ ease off a bit when you are about 18ish, but can carry on into the 20's (or as long as you keep growing) You shouldn't do any high-impact sport where you have to run around alot, as this could make the pain worse for you. Take Ibuprofen, but check you are not allergic to any of the things in it. Ibuprofen helps to reduce swelling and is a fast painkiller. Sorry about the long post! x http://preteenagerstoday.com/resources/articles/kneepain.htm clicky!!!

oops and I just read the bit about the drugstore - if you cant get access to any ibuprofen, try doing gentle excercise, like walking or something! i had this problem for years but its stopped now (yay!) i had to wear a knee support for ages.

I was online doing research again about knees since mine have been acting up. I get the pain as well when walking up stairs and bending, etc...here is what I found (this is what I have)...read on...it might be of some help Chondromalacia

My son has that too. We went to see the doctor about a sore lump under his kneecap a few years ago. When he said "Well it seems that you have Osgood-Schlatters Disease", it scared the crap out of me until he explained what it was all about.

scared me too when the doctor told me! i had to go by myself when i was 12 i was like  :open_mouth: hehe

That sounds like what I have... or maybe it's that Os thingy... I don't have a fucking clue ....

it could be O-S but if it hurts that much when she's just walking it may not be it. O-S causes tenderness in the area under the below the kneecap and above the shin bone.you should still try and see a doctor. you could have something else. next time you're at school maybe ask to see the school nurse?i'm really sorry you can't see a doctor. i have a friend who's a family doctor. maybe explain the symptoms...totally...like the exact area where it hurts, where on the knee, if its a burning pain...does it hurt when you push on the area? is it behind the leg? i'll ask a doctor for you.
