Can un[protected anal cause AIDs when both people are clean of any STDs? Especially when neither has had sex or anal sex with any other partners?

Anal equals AIDS?

A person who's clean of an STD can't give an STD to another person...how could they? If you have fever blisters, though, you can spread the virus that causes them (HSV1) through kissing or oral sex. You can also spread other things that aren't usually considered STDs, like colds.
HIV, the AIDS virus, doesn't come from nowhere. It's a virus that you have to catch to be infected, and you have to be infected to pass it to someone else.

I feel such a dumba** for asking all this lol but its better ask then to not know and guess. Then how did people first get AIDs? Some ppl BS that it came from beastality but how did it really start? Others said it was cause by homosexual acts but there have been homosexual acts since ancient greece and even before then and AIDs is only from the 1900s right? Man I must be a real dumba**

It seems to have been in some African monkey populations for a long time - long enough for them to build up resistance to it. It passed to humans in the early 1950s or earlier, not necessarily by sex, more likely by blood-blood contact. For a long time it was confined to small regions in Africa, but it slowly spread, but as it did the pace of the spread increased. It transferred to Haiti, probably by African workers working there. From there it was transferred to the US by gay sex tourists in the early 1980s. It was not until Americans started getting it that it was taken seriously.

That's a good question: Where do any contagious diseases come from in the first place? Homosexual acts can't create viruses out of nowhere. Sexual relations, homosexual or otherwise, can only spread diseases that already exist. That's it. A group of uninfected gay people can have sex every day of their lives, and they won't become infected.
There are all kinds of pathogens (viruses, bacteria, yeast, porotozoans, etc.) that live on and in your body. Through random mutation, one of them can become dangerous and infectious. In fact, the person in whom they mutate may build up a resistance to them and spread them to other people.
Also, some pathogens come from other animals that may or may not cause them to get sick, but may cause people to get very sick (influenza is one example).
It's not knows where HIV originated, but one strong theory is that it came from monkeys. If so, it could certainly have been spread by non-sexual contact. If someone slaughtered and infected animal and cut themselves while doing it, they could easily have gotten some of the virus in their blood.

In reply to: From there it was transferred to the US by gay sex tourists in the early 1980s. Okay I was with you until this comment. That has always been a myth. Some reason people have been trying to blame homosexuals for the outbreak since the discovery, which is false. Truthfully they are not sure how it go to the US. It could have been just as easily been brought over by a straight male/female as well. Also it was in the US before 1980, it's just that they refused to truely Acknowledge it until early 1980's. If I remember the years correctly I don't believe the red cross even started testing blood in the blood banks until 1985, and they new for YEARS about the AIDS Virus. Kind of sickening to think about that.

Some reason people have been trying to blame homosexuals for the outbreak...Randy Shilts, And the Band Played On. (A long time ago, I worked with his brother.) Randy Shilts was homosexual.

Hmmm I think I might have seen that movie. Will have to look it up and make sure.

Nobody knows for certain where HIV or AIDS came from (unless it was artificially engineered but I don't think any sensible person considers this to be likely) but certainly there are viruses common to monkeys in parts of central Africa which are definitely of the same viral family as HIV. Also, in 1997, a sample of blood which was frozen in 1947 after an American service man died from an 'undiagnosable' disease, was shown to contain a strain of the HIV virus. The most popular theory currently is that it originated in monkeys in central Africa and may have been passed to humans either when someone ate a monkey (common in some parts of central Africa) or had sex with a monkey in central Africa (hey, it's been known to happen!).As for how it got to the US, again nobody knows for certain. It almost certainly existed there in the early 1970s but at that time was almost exclusively confined to the gay population. This is believed to be at least partly down to the promiscuity of a single gay airline worker who contracted AIDS and died in 1990, leaving behind a diary which listed over 3000 supposed lovers across central Africa and the USA but this has never really been confirmed. He certainly had sex with many hundreds of men just in the San Francisco area, many of whom subsequently contracted AIDS.The simple fact of the matter is that like so many other things, even though we've learnt a lot about AIDS in the 20 years since it came to the attention of the world at large, we still don't know very much. We do of course know that AIDS is not the 'Gay Plague' that so many pathetic bigots labelled it as during the 1980s. It can strike anybody and the high prevalence of HIV amongst the gay population in the 1970s and 1980s can be reasonably put down more to promiscuity than to any particular sex act. It's a simple fact that men, whether straight or gay, are far more promiscuous than women (don't get me wrong, there are millions of promiscuous women out there ), thereby making the disease much more likely to spread faster in male-male relationships than in male-female relationships. ** EDIT ** I've just realised that the above statements may be seen as saying that I think all gay men are promiscuous. That's not what I meant. Gay men are just as capable of being faithful in a relationship as straight men...though of course they're also just as capable of infidelity. ** END OF EDIT **

People eat monkeys all over the place especially in tropical jungles. Why do you think that they are not eaten? Can you back up your assertion? http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Publications/ZooGoer/2001/5/fallofthewild.cfm

People don't eat monkeys in Africa. You mean they only have sex with them? They sure do eat them; they are also a delicacy in parts of Asia (remember the monkey head scene in Indiana Jones?).

But you have to have Herpes Virus to spread it to someone else. And just because you don't have the actual sores does not mean you cannot spread it to another. 70% Of those who become infected did not even know their partner had it. Anytime you have unprotected sex you are at risk for contracting any STD including HIV. AIDS is not simply an "Anal" STD
