Erection

Are you taking any meds? They sometimes have that ill effect on staying hard? Do you not get completely hard at all? What about waking up with stiff morning wood?If you completely hard sometimes and not others, it's worth checking it out. Maybe it because you are so large and that it takes so much blood to maintain an erection, the best you get is semi-hard without passing out from loss of blood pressure
-
i never really get as hard as i used to. but i get hard enuff to fuck. maybe i need more blood or something? im not on any meds. i was drinking EVERY day for 8 weeks but now i am stopping for a week or two.
-
That might be it then ...
-
You mentioned your age, but not how long you've been having the erection issue. It might be a psychological thing that will eventually pase.In reply to:Maybe it because you are so large and that it takes so much blood to maintain an erection, the best you get is semi-hard without passing out from loss of blood pressureIs your penis twice the size of a horse's?

if you look in my post it says one month. also the vien on the base of my penis (the top side) isnt in the centre its a lil to the right. is this just a normal variation or could this be the reason, although its been like this all my life. what should i do if its a phsycologial issue.
-
Sorry, I didn't know that the last posting was at the start of the problem. The vein on your penis is not an issue. It is impossible to answer a generic psychological question (without any details). It's like asking, "Why do I have a headache?"
-
any idea's on what i should do?
-
I don't know. Is it possible that you're getting so worked up about the idea of not getting hard enough that you're having performance anxiety?
-
ok well also, when the end of my penis gets hard, and i give it a lil squeeze it just goes soft again. the middle bit isnt much of a problem. the base doesnt seem to go tht hard because my dick still can move round easily at the base when hard...
-
The head is made from corpus spongiosum tissue, whereas most of the rigidity of the shaft is due to corpus cavernosum tissue, and it's quite common for the head to be less easy to get hard.
-
ok well what would be your advise on what i should do? forget about it or what? its quite frustrating.

Geting the doctor to do a check-up might be a good idea. Diabetes is something that should be checked (easily done with a urine test), because weak erections can be the first sign.
-
ok, any oother signs of diabetes? and also what will thee doctor do if it is diabetes?
-
Diabetes is nothing to mess with. It will only get worse if not treated and will eventually lead to amputation of toes, feet, and legs and often blindness. Luckily it is easily controlled (not cured) with medication and diet. Do get a physical exam and have it checked out. While you're at it, get a complete blood workup and guys, get a PSA test and a prostate exam. It's not the most pleasant thing to have done, but it's over quickly and is well worth the peace of mind.

In reply to: it is easily controlled (not cured) with medication and diet Not always. I give myself 4 - 6 injections a day. There are two types of diabetes. Type one were you inject insulin. (the type Halle Berry has)then type 2 where you can control with diet and tablets, and then sometimes after a while use insulin (the type olympic rower steve redgrave has)Diabetes in the long run can also lead to impotence. That's why I'm glad mines under control now.

Your answer is correct and more detailed than mine. I was only trying to give a general answer and to encourage him to seek an opinion from his doctor. While I wouldn't relish taking those shots everyday, the point I was trying to make is that if you get a medical workup, there are (different) ways to control diabetes. It certainly is not a death sentence and if you take care of yourself you can expect to lead a pretty normal life.

And we don't know that smithywest has it - it's just one possibility that should be checked.
-
True. I'm sure that a lot more people browse this board that those who post. The response was not just for smithywest. Anyone with unexplainable symptoms should find out why.
-
I was lucky not to get any complications before diagnosis. I think I only had it for about a week or two. In reply to: you can expect to lead a pretty normal life I like seeing what famous people have it so that I feel I could do well in life too.
