Salvia Divinorum
-
It's been around for centuries, but recently becoming popular now. It used to be used for healing, now it is too widely available. I mean that this shit is not for parties, and soon will be illegal because too many people are wanting it. Typical of the U.S. government to take away anything that could make one find thier inner self. Better buy more guns and slam back some whiskey and go shootin'
-
funny you should mention that, it is exactly my plan for this Saturday only it will be Vodka not whiskey I shall be slamming. Of course that depends on weather, I have an 8 hour window for this fun so if its snowing again Ill have to postpone it for another day.
-
Yeah it's legal, just about everywhere except for Austrailia, Israel, and maybe Denmark, and a couple of isolated counties in the U.S. No one has ever died from it, at least not from ingestion but from accidents that might happen while tripping balls such as falling off a balcony or some shit.If you think Salvia is crazy try some Datura. It's a sweet-ass trip and you can probably find the seed pods in your neighbors garden.
-
I think Salvia is illegal in a couple states now, I remember a piece on the local news saying Missouri had outlawed it (i think MO, anyway)....my buddy Chris thinks he has about a 3 years window to make his money off Salvia before it's classified as a controlled substance. Right now he is getting rich beyond all belief off of purple sticky. It's sold in most headshops across the country
-
Well tell him that I could help him sell it out here too, that way he can make money from Canada too. Seriously
-
Talking about drug trafficing probably not a good idea here.. legal or not
-
It is still legal in most states, there is no trafficing, Most Salvia comes from Mexico and imported around the world to where it is legal including Canada.
-
Yes but talking about selling and transporting drugs..legal or not.. has no place on these boards. It's a good way to get the site into trouble. Not trying to be harsh at all just don't want to see anyone get into trouble. It's best to take that to PM's.
-
Well although I don't consider it transporting drugs, I do apologize for sounding like a dealer and I agree the discussion for business has no place in these forums.
-
Is this the same thing as 'woo' or 'wet'? Whatever it's called. I did alot of tripping back in the day. (glad I don't anymore) I just cannot imagine feeling like this.

This got me curious so hers is what I have found.------------------------------------------------Louisiana #Effective Aug 8, 2005 (signed into law Jun 28, 2005) Louisiana Act No 159 makes 40 plants illegal, including S. divinorum, when intended for human consumption. The law specifically excludes the "possession, planting, cultivation, growing, or harvesting" of these plants if used "strictly for aesthetic, landscaping, or decorative purposes." (Text of HLS_05RS-52 and Update June 2005)Missouri #On Aug 28, 2005 House Bill 633 was incorporated into 195.017 of Missouri's drug regulation statutes. Thus, Salvia and salvinorin A became Schedule I substances in that state. As far as Erowid knows, Missouri is the first state in the U.S. to actually schedule s. divinorum or its active chemical. http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/chapters/chap195.htm. (Thanks Q)St. Peters city passed an ordinance banning sales of Salvia divinorum to minors aged 17 or younger. Jan 2003. (St Peters Journal - Jan 26, 2003)HB165 introduced in state legislature, proposing addition of S.divinorum to list of scheduled substances. No hearing scheduled as of Jan 2005. (MO House of Representatives)New Jersey #No law concerning Salvia d. known, but a mention in news about Northern Monmouth includes the following curious text: app.com GRAND TOUR: Two 15-year-old borough males were charged on Sept. 10 with illegal possession of salvia divinorum with intent to distribute by Sgt. Kevin Roake.New York #New York is moving to control Salvia divinorum. State Targets Tripped Out Herb - Long Island Press, June 16 2005. Also see the text of the proposed law taken from the very, very awful web site at: http://public.leginfo.state.ny.us/ . (Thanks Embroglio)------Salvia divinorum is uncontrolled in the United States. This means all parts of the plant and its extracts are legal to cultivate, buy, possess, and distribute (sell, trade or give) without a license or prescription. If sold as a supplement, sales must conform to U.S. supplement laws. If sold for consumption as a food or drug, sales are regulated by the FDA.The federal analog act generally requires that, in order to qualify as an analog, a substance must be chemically similar to a substance which is federally scheduled. Salvia Divinorum is chemically quite different from other scheduled substances and as a plant is quite unlikely to be targeted by this act.Selling Salvia divinorum for human consumption as a "drug" is probably illegal in the US under the Food, Drug & Cosmetics Act and its sale as a drug would be regulated by the FDA. Selling an unapproved drug in the US can be prosecuted under the FD&C's "misbranding" clause. (FD&C Section 502) The more it is packaged and marketed as a drug (for example a 10x extract hyped as 'the new ecstasy') the more likely it is to be treated as an "illegal drug" by law enforcement agents. The US Air Force is considering whether to include Salvia divinorum in the list of banned drugs. See Plant could get airmen in legal hot water, Jan 2004.California Analog ActUnder the strict California Analog Act, salvia could potentially be prosecuted if it is sold for human consumption as a psychoactive drug.US Federal Analogue ActUnder the Federal Analogue Act, salvia fails to meet the "chemically similar" criteria and thus is not subject to the analogue act provisions. However, the DEA has recently changed their view on this and now states:"Salvia Divinorum, Salvinorin A, and Divinorin A are not listed in the Controlled Substances Act. If sold for human consumption, Salvia may be subject to control under the Analogue statutes because of its functional pharmacological similarities to other CI hallucinogens like THC."-- from DEA Diversion Salvia Page Feb 2002However the DEA's analysis is completely flawed. The Federal Analogue Act, as currently understood requires that a substance be "chemically similar" to a controlled substance not "pharmacologically similar" as the DEA suggests in their quote. Very little is known about the pharmacology of Salvia and there is still much unknown about the pharmacology of THC. Saying the two are 'pharmacologically similar' might satisfy the paragraph II of the Analogue Act test, but its also just wrong. Perhaps the DEA has performed human pharamcology studies on salvinorin that they are keeping secret, but most likely the authors of this article are just trying to use their position to further extend the reach of their power well beyond the scope of the law.Salvinorin is not a chemical analog of any scheduled substance.------------all that plus legal status for many countrys came from here The primary psychoactive constituent is trans-neoclerodane diterpenoid known as salvinorin A. Salvia also contains the closely related compounds salvinorins B-G, divinatorins A-E, salvinicins A and B, and hardwickiic acid. Salvinorin A is the most potent naturally-occurring hallucinogen known. It is active at doses as low as 100 µg [1]. Recent research has shown that salvinorin A is a remarkably potent and selective kappa opioid receptor agonist. It has been demonstrated that the effects of salvinorin A are blocked by kappa opioid receptor antagonists. This indicates that the effects of S. divinorum can be largely, if not entirely, attributed to kappa agonism. Salvinorin A is unique in that it is the only naturally occurring substance known to induce a visionary state via this mechanism of action.there is more shit on that page then I am willing to copy and past over here but I think its better then the erowid page, find it all here ffThe last thing I will say however is this:Until the late 1980s, not many people knew about salvia. The heavy commercialization of the Internet in the mid-1990s and the realization that the plant was not legally controlled engendered numerous Internet mail-order businesses which sold dried salvia leaves and other preparations, sometimes for exorbitant prices. The general public became increasingly aware of salvia in 2002. As of June 1, 2002, Australia became the first country to ban salvia and salvinorin [2], [3]. In late 2002, Rep. Joe Baca (D-California) introduced a bill in the United States House of Representatives to schedule salvia as a controlled substance, and the DEA has indicated on its website that it is aware of salvia and is evaluating the plant for possible scheduling.Press accounts of efforts to ban salvia often quote law enforcement and government officials who exhibit an inaccurate knowledge of the drug's effects, and frequently characterize the "high" as "chewable marijuana", or as identical to LSD and PCP (two drugs with quite dissimilar effects to each other, as well as to salvia).

The stuff that I'll get on Moday is 20X strength and a force to be reckon with. I guess as soon as some idiot crashes thier car while on Salvia or does jump off the balcony, It will then almost immediatly become a controlled substance. I guess we all have a short time to try it as they did when they made up the Bible.
-
In reply to: I guess we all have a short time to try it as they did when they made up the Bible. ?????
-
Marijuana, shrooms, opium, salvia were just some of the medications people used for healing and vision quests back in the old bible days. A talking burning bush, a staff that turns into a snake? God has a double edged sword coming out of his mouth with fire in his eyes? Holy shit that must have been good stuff back then too.

So your saying Moses was a stoner?
-
Moses and Chong were the most popular stoners of all time.
-
I should probably be a lot more offended by that then i am
-
I ony know what you meant by that because Im a south park fan if not for the I would be totaly lost on your comment. On the other hand I should be offended because I worshipped tommy chng and cheech marin for many many years ans aspired to become just like them.luckily thta did not happen, chong is in the shitter but cheech seems to be doing ok, maybe I do wish I turned out like him.of course him playing a cop shuddersthe bastard betrayed us all! and with don johnson even ewwww

I have never heard of "purple sticky", salvia generally doesn't have a sticky resin like marijuana. I just see it sold online as standardized or non-standardized (standardized is more potent) in whole leaf form or extracts of 5x, 6x, 10x, 15x, and 20x. Headshops rip you off, I saw 5x there for $25 a gram which is about $16 than you would spend online.Selling Salvia is stupid anyhow because I wouldn't see a profit there. It's not something people want to do everyday because it really interupts your routine. Generally after doing it you usually don't feel like doing it again for a while if ever. It just isn't really a recreational drug people will hit you up for 50x a day over the phone like weed or coke.
