VERY UNSURE ABOUT STD'S
-
You would have to being doing some pretty freaky things with the toilet seat, that someone else just did freaky things with, in order to get STD's from it. I've never heard of one case of anyone getting an STD from a toilet seat. I would say someone is blowing smoke up something.

First, turn off that damned caps lock.second its possible to get a few things from a toilet seat. a wet ass for instance. maybe even pubic lice if the intermission was short enough? not sure about that.I suppose if you had a open wound on your ass and sat down in some pee maybe you could get aids?Anything else I seriously doubt
-
Pee? No. Fresh blood? Maybe, if it got into an open wound.MANDY with the stuck caps lock, it's highly unlikely that you got anything from a toilet seat. It's far more likely that your boyfriend picked something up from another person, or that you did.
-
So pee doesnt contain any of the HIV or AIDs virus? I thought it was present in all body fluids?
-
I suppose if yo had a open wound on your ass and sat down in some pee maybe you could get aids?Even that is a very rare thing, though in theory it's possible.Getting something from a toilet seat is pretty difficult because the seat or atleast the STD or what not would need to penetrate through skin, or through the anus or virgina (Or Penis, whatever your sex is lol). Personally if you do have an STD your BF needs to be checked as well. And I agree I think the whole "got it from a toilet seat" is just blowing smoke up tour bum.

sorry guys teh program at work makes me have the caps lock on, that is why it was done in caps. i just wanted to make sure that it was from himI know that i have not been with anyone else and i know that he has even though he said he used a condom.guess I have to wait for the results

If I remember right HIV is not present in feces and its in such small, trace, amounts in urine, that those will not transmit the disease.HIV must be present in sufficient amounts before transmission can take place.

I found the following: Dear TeenHealthFX,Can you get any STD?s from a toilet seat, sharing a drink with someone who may have given oral sex to someone who has herpes or something like that? Signed: STD From A Toilet Seat Dear STD From A Toilet Seat,Generally, STDs are not passed by coming in contact with a toilet seat. Most STDs are only transmitted during sexual contact, either by skin-to-skin contact or through body fluid exchange. Crabs, or pubic lice, may be transmitted through sexual contact, sleeping in infected bedding, sharing infected clothing and possibly through sitting on an infested toilet seat. However, lice cannot survive away from the human body for longer than 24 hours. So contracting pubic lice from a toilet seat is possible, but it's unlikely there is more and since I stole this I need to give credit, I found that here

Even that is a very rare thingI'd like to see a single documented case.

True story..I got crabs from a toilet seat. My girlfriend flipped out because she thought I cheated on her. I could not believe I had crabs. I must have went through 5 tubes of anti itch before I gave up and went to the doc.
-
Now THAT IS very possible, heard that story over and over again. To be honest before I was ever sexually active (I was about 16 I think) I got crabs from a tanning bed. The tanning place ended up getting shut down because there were A LOT of other people who went tanning there who got crabs and it got tracked back to the tanning place.

Myth: You can get a sexually transmitted disease (STD) from toilet seats.Fact: "It's OK to sit down," reports Dr. Marts. "Most organisms that cause STDs will not survive for long on a toilet seat." She adds that viruses such as those that cause herpes and hepatitis can survive, but a woman would have to make genital contact with the seat to become infected. "I think this myth dates from a time when it wasn't so much about microbes as it was about vermin, like fleas and body lice," says Dr. Marts.
