My understanding was that skin can grow, but it doesnt shrink back down. I had thought that peope that got big then lost the fat had to have surgery or something to lose that extra skin that hangs down ?
fImean I know if you shrink slowely like arnold did after stopping lifting the way he did when he wa a body builder you didnt get that flabby shit hanging so it HAS to shrink up some but wil it ever go away completely wiht out some sort of external help ? -
No no...skins is like elastic. It will shink back..BUT you have to give it time. For someone who loses tons of weight rapidly they're skin is going to sag some. The best way to fix it is to lift and give your body time to adjust.

skins is like elasticactually, id say more like a spring. if u strech it out, it will return back in to its normal place when u take away the streaching force ( in ur case, the exrta weight u were carrying that was streaching the skin).HOWEVER, just like a spring, if u streach it 2 far ( sum shit about the spring constant..i should pay more attention in physics) it will not ever return back to its original place, and will remain streached out even when u take away the force acting on it.so basically, it depends on ur skins elasticity ( the spring constant) and the force on it ( and the resulting extention) etc etc....i hate pysics.

elastic is like a spring, and essentially is. The equation you are refering to is: F = (1/2)kx^2Your skin will stretch and recover because of things in the sking. The older you get the less of it you have and the "tauntness" of your skin decreases.

yes, hooke's law...i hate physics yet must suffer through all the machanics horse shit to get to my beloved radiation physics.lol

It all depends...people who lose around 100 lbs or so normally will have some sagging skin that will not shrink back. Many people who have had the gastric bypass surgery will need some nips and tucks later on.

So its not if hte skin wil decrease but rather how much extra and how far it was pushed to begin with, a few pounds fine, 40 or 50 lbs still ok, 150 lbs lost your gonna need some help.I suppose that makes mroe sense, Iv sen people that were on tv getting read to get skin cut off and IV seen pregannt women that go right back to looking taught and trim with out ever having skin cut off.
