Okay, I can't believe I'm the only one who's ever been in this situation. My girlfriend and I have been using condoms for five years now. She won't use any form of hormonal BC, since trying the pill, implant, etc. always had some pretty negative side effects. She dismissed IUD as well after researching it.Problem now is that it just isn't working for me anymore. No matter how "turned on" I am before intercourse, once we put on the condom, it blocks too much of the feeling and I can't reach orgasm. For it to work, before entering her, I have to be just about at the point of climax before putting on the raincoat, and even then it takes a long time and a lot of friction for me to orgasm.I have tried several different brands. I researched the one we're using right now (Durex something or other) before buying them and according to the FDA or whoever measures these things, they're actually the thinnest ones available on the market, so I don't know where to go from here.Has anyone else used condoms this long in a long term relationship and reached such a point of frustration with the damn things? Is there some other obvious alternative I've overlooked?

Go get a rubber, fill it up with snot,or better yet, kill a animal, and remove its stomache, wash it out, fill that with snot, and put it on your dick.Thats what the lamb condoms feel like. Not to mention, they do nothing in the way of blocking STDs.Maybe not a concern for one man with one woman,or even one man with one man, but for random encounters, it certainly isnt effective.

First of all, thanks to Curious2006 for the links. I read through just about all the methods listed on the website, but it seems like once I remove condoms, hormonal methods, and the IUD from the list of options, there aren't really any "serious" methods of contraception left. For any who are curious, we did try those spermacidal suppositories a couple of years ago. Of course, if you look at the statistics of how ineffective they are, you're pretty much playing Russian roulette. The ones we used also had a strong, offensive chemical odor and started foaming out of my girlfriend and all over the bed once we managed to get it in. We had to stop having sex so she could go wash herself off and get the burning and stinging to stop. We live in Europe and they are coming out with a new product here called a "spray-on condom". I don't know if this is available in America already or not. It's basically a can of liquid latex that you spray onto your erection, where it solidifies and forms a super-thin, perfectly fitting condom. I have signed up as a product tester with the company developing them, so hopefully I will get a chance to try them out.I was sort of contemplating checking out the lambskin condoms, but now I guess I'll stay away from them. I don't really have a snot fetish.

Don't rely on just what ONE person thinks about a particular idea or product. Yes, it may be nasty to one guy, but you may love the feeling.
Try a small amount of the Naturalamb and see if it does anything for you.
Also, you may want to try using a cock-ring. I'd recommend the jelly ones to start, as they are easy to put on and take off. The best method for the jelly cock-ring is to place it over the top of your penis, and under your scrotum. It will help you maintain your erection if you start to lose the mojo, and the extra pressure will aid you in reaching orgasm.
However, wear it (and any cock-ring) for 30 minutes or LESS, otherwise you could damage your penis.
With regards to the spray-on condom; I don't see that being an effective alternative. The latex will have to be thick enough, and evenly spread to make sure it forms into a total sheath. It may be a bitch to apply (Spraying latex on your sac, sheets, girl) and once again, you may miss a spot.

For contraception only and for the most natural feeling, a lambskin skin condom is the only way to go if you're going to use condoms. I personally never noticed any odor or "snot" feel. Try it once and then make up your own mind.
I was just reading about the spray-on condom going into tests. It seems that you put your erection into a can where jets spray on the latex from all sides--kind of like going through a carwash. I don't think that the efficacy has been proven yet, that is that there will be no holes for a sperm cell to get through, so you might want to consider a backup method unless you're alright with getting her pregnant.
