Home made tattoos

myself having some self inflicted body mods around those lines ,and not only that but some artistic education as an aspireing tattoo artist. I strongly belive that you should wait and have your ink done properly. Now im assuming your under age hense the reason why your not considering that, but if you do choose to take the home done road ,for the sake of your body remember that even poorly done "jail house" style tats are usualy forever and if the "tools" that are being used are not properly sterilized (sp) you can get horrible infections and even die.

I agree with Helsmann, but if you are going to do it definately get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. Be sure of what you want because it's something you can easily regret down the road.

suggestion - DON'TI have a few friends who, stupidly in their teen years got out the indian ink and needles and totally made a mess........professional tattoos are awesome, but the homemade ones i've seen are dire and they are stuck with em.

my first tat was a home made hand-poke. It's barely even visable anymore.I wouldn't advise it from a quality and health point of view but you have to make your own decisions based on where you are in your own life.

Lets have a fast lesson and some tips shall we?
I got my first tattoo when I was 15, it was homemade. I took some india ink and a guitar string. took the design, traced it out in pen, cut the paper it was on out, put some speed stick on my arm and tranfered the design. i burned the guitar string with my lighter. dipped the string in the ink and tatted away in the mirror.
It took hours, I went too shallow in some parts, too deep in others, it looked like fucking shit. Next I made a gun, a needle pushed through a pen tip, filled with cotton soaked in ink, dip the needle in the ink and then goto work. it went up the pen tube toa motor witha piece of metal coat hanger attached for the needle to move up and down and a piece of thread wrapped and glued around the needle tip so that you cuold press it in had, but never go to deep.
I got that one finished and it looked like shit.
First th dragging through teh skin, ripping and tearing instead of smooth even lines. because its nota precision instrament, it also skipped around a bit and I had dots around the actual lines in the design.
I continued doing a fe that way for a year or so.
Now Im 35, I have many tattoos. Ink is addictive, I love it, I like the way need feels, aside from certain parts of my body that hurt like a mother fucker instead of just hurting while it went in.
All those tats I got when I was too young ?
covered over. I got lucky and had small shit that was easy to cover up with larger designs. All but 2, those two were the ones on each shoulder that took several hundred dollars in art to obliterate and work around them to make them look like it wasnt a cover up. The name on my calf was easy to go over as it was simple writing not elaborate thick letters. The fuck you on my arm is also covered over, same story, lucky I had small letters instead of big thick ones like I do in the words on my arm now.
Home made tats look like shit, ameture, shitty. Plus as a bonus they are dangerous !
anyone that knows how to make the ink (india ink doesnt work worth a shit) has also used the tools ( I use that term loosly) has used them on several people and your looking at hepatitus, maybe aids, or fuck only knows what else. The art work looks like shit and will have to someday be covered over by someone who knows what they are doing and uses quality tools and quality ink and understands how the needle affects the skin.
as a bonus, the shit you can use to make your own inks, its pretty likely that your going to have an allergic reaction or maybe poison yourself doing it.
Do youhave any idea how to treat an infenction? Improper care after the inks in means worse results too. Do you have access to the shit you need to care for it and make sure scaring is minimal? do you have the knowledge of how to care for it?do you understand hw to drag, how to shade? how to do anything that needs to be done to get a quality tat? No, fuck no, you dont.
take your time, wait till your older, get it done by a professional. Ink is permenant, even if yuo have it removed later by a lazer its gonna cost thousands of dollars, and it only breaks up the black and th dark blue ink, any colors are there forever. add to that the scaring from the lazer that penatrates the skin deep enough to break up the ink. it loos like shit and you can always tell something was there.
If yuo want ink, keeping in mind its permenant, and alife long pain in the ass to pretect from sun, from burns, from scrapes and cuts, then wait till your older and can have a pro put it in you. Till you can have the proper care and the proper tools.
you can blow off all that I typed, or you can take it as a lesson from someone that made the mistakes as a kid. All my ink is quality shit, I have 27 tats. Im sure as hell not against being inked, in fact Im currently having some new shit draw up to get donw in the next little while. Im pro tat, Im just anti stupidity, dont get home made tats.
I left out the important details of how to self ink on purpose, dont bother contacting me for help in filling in the blanks. If your desperate enough to be a dumb fuck and procede with the ink, you can figure it out on your own. -
Eh, I alredy did the stupid shit, no reason for someone that can read my story to repeat the smae stupid shit I already did.We all Know Im pro tattoo, Im just ant stupid, doing your own ink is really fucking stupid and I speak from experience.
