Hi,Im 18 and worried about the lateness and speed of my puberty. I started seeing signs at age 14 and havent imporved greatly since.I have minimal puibic, arm pit and leg hair and no facial hair. I have a 5.5 inch erect penis which is also quite thin and have quite small testicles. My sperm is quite transparent and dribbles rather than squirts. I also look quite young (15) but i'm about 5ft 11 inch tall.Im worried, is this normal and will i catch up. Any advice??Thanks

Late/Slow puberty???

Welcome to A2A, maxster. I agree with Helms: it's likely you're just going through the process slowly, but a specialist's opinion might be a good idea. Some people are genetically less hairy and younger-looking. A tram conductor once took me to be 14 when I was 21. Semen dribbling rather than spurting is common and normal for any level of puberty - only some guys are spurters.

Ok, thanks for your replies. Is there any way/ medication to improve my testosterone levels. Im really not confident enough to see my doctor or specialist aboiut it.

ok, so i either wait or go and see a doctor.

Don't feel afraid to tel your doctor personal things like these, cause chances are pretty high others have asked the very same question with the very same doctor.

Maxster have you been on any medications? Specifically any form of prednisone or steroid? The reason I ask is because steroids are used to treat premature puberty i.e. it delays the onset. There is Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) which would need a doctor's approval - however, anytime you add something to your body via medication there's a large risk that the organ that normally produces said medication atropheids. In this case it would be your adrenal glands and testicles if you took testosterone. There are other risks which could cause serious side effects. So weigh your options with whatever road you take. I have the same issue. I've got a slew of things wrong with me so I'm in the same boat as you.

If something needs to be (medically) done, it would be wise to do it before you're too much older. We're all a little nervous about that first physical, but there's really nothing to it. If your doctor is male, he's got the same equipment you do; if she's female, she's seen lots of male genitalia in her professional capacity.

Thanks for your advice people, I guess its safest to see my doctor. The only medication i take is hay fever tablets in the summer. I also have asthma but rarely take the medication, could asthma be what is stunting my growth.

I doubt that asthma would have anything to do with it.
