Words can't describe how I feel right now about this election. It's truly a historic day!
-
Totally speechless
-
Exactly! Just wow. This says so much. I never thought I'd be alive to see this moment
-
Seriously, me either. Just 15 years ago, we wouldn't have even thought about this in a serious manner. I've got soo much I want to say right now, but I just can't get my thoughts together to make them sound coherent.
-
I can't help but think how Dr. King would have felt. He probably knew this day would come.I know I'm going to go through hell and brimstone tomorrow but I couldn't be more happy.
-
Its amazing how out country went from segregated to having a black presdient within 60 years. Truely a great thing. Icant wait for him to take charge.Obama IS Hope
-
Oh, me too. The ladies at work are going to bitch all day and I'm just going to walk around with a smile on my face.I even can't stop smiling now!!!
-
And it only took 232 years
-
Meh. I can't say I have a huge amount of confidence in him. Not that I had confidence in Mccain either, but I hope I'm wrong.
-
We truly did witness a historic day. I didn't really believe it would happen. Could this mean that there is some kind of hope for this country?
-
Amen indeedy
-
McCain and Obama weren't speechless - that was a fine, dignified and gracious concession speech from McCain, and Obama's acceptance speech was gracious, stirring and inspiring. He's got a lot to live up to!Not least among his challenges is that 48% of the population voted for McCain, which suggests he still has a lot of people to win over to unify the nation.
-
One thing I'm disappointed in is the vote on Prop 8 in California. While it hasn't been called, it looks like it may pass:-(
-
Amen! I am a happy boy today :). A very historic moment for America

There are still 3 million votes to be counted, which could change a lot. I am trying to be optimistic, but I have a bad stomach wrenching feeling...

We're going to see the results of this mistake over the next four years at least. If you wanted a socialist nation, then, yes, your hopes should go way up (move over France). Is it an historic day? Absolutely!

I don't know if I can handle this. No, not Obama winning but being in the reddest of all red states. It's already started. The political attack adds just ended mid day yesterday and now the political attack talk radio is already in full swing. The boss actually came in this morning pissed off, though that's nothing new, and announced that when the big tax hikes kick in he's probably going to have to lay off some people. The dumbass woman across the office has been sobbing and talking about how scared she is and what she's gonna do when were overrun with terrorists. Give me a fuckin' break. Both of 'em have Shawn Hanity blaring on the radio, or which ever talking head it is but I'm not aloud to play anything but easy listening. I miss the good ole days when after an election the political attacks and campaigning at least took a little rest.
-
They both gave really good speeches. So Glad this election is finally over! I just really hope Obama doesnt get assasinated. That would be horrible. Probably won't happen though... but some people are fucked in the head.

It's going to be a rough next 4 years, not because of Obama being in the presidency but because of the hole Bush has out us in. Regardless who would have won the election, the next 4 years are going to be rough working through the horrific mess left behind by Bush.
-
Thats for sure.Is Obama planning on bring the troops back??

Bush's failure was that he didn't clean up the mess made by Clinton. But make no mistake about it...Bush did not create this mess we're in now.
