I really want to watch it in imax 3d, and i'm going to be in Manhattan with my mom tomorrow and that's the only movie that looks good. But i heard there's a lot of nudity and that there's a really long sex scene and it's gonna be a little awkward with my mom next to me. Has anyone seen this movie? Is the sex scene really graphic, meaning is it hard to look at?
Has anyone seen the movie Watchmen?
i only want to see this movie for one reason... are they bad or good?? the trailer confuses me so bad i don't know what side the superheroes are on.
i haven't heard a thing about it... this is the first on the lot of nudity and long graphic sex scene. that would probably make me feel jumpy /nervous even with my girl by me. Shit and the stressing over the "will I get wood in my pants".- I'll pass on this movie I think.
I thought it was PG-13...
Sorry I can't be of more assistance. It does look good though.
Check IMDB, or yahoo movies. Sometimes they have like a parent's guide kind of thing that'll tell you.
Nothing's perfect... The world's not perfect. But it's there for us, trying the best it can. That's what makes it so damn beautiful.
<...
here is a link to some of the critics views and some of the people that saw it already.
here is a link to the parents guide (sex and violence/gore..and such) ... click here
lots of spoilers in that last link.
but I'll just say - i'm glade you posted this cuz i was really thinking about seeing this movie with Shannon.. oh hell no am i now! i'd be sick for months! it's trigger crazy for me.
some one that goes to see it just tell me are they good or bad??? lol
Movie turned out to be more of a drama, and lasted 3 hours.
I'm going next week
There is some critasizm over the harsh nature ove the movie but, frankly, it's in keeping with the story. After all, no one would expect the book "American Psycho" to turn into "Bambi" on the big-screen

I did want to see it but I can’t. I’d be so messed up. I can’t even watch law and order… it’s not really the violence (other than one thing I don’t want to say cuz I don’t want to spoil it for people that don’t want it spoiled…) but yea there are just too many things I read on the parent guide that would hit me too hard. There is something I read , and I just read it - not seen it, that’s already effecting me. But I am … well hell I can’t even watch law and order so that should say a lot.
urgg and i wanted to see it too..
don't make yourself do anything that will upset you
It's better that you read up on it rather than go to the movie and be blindsided

I just saw this today, but I knew what to expect because I had read the graphic novel before hand. There's a fair amount of brutal violence, with blood and gore, and there is a lengthy sex scene. There's a fair bit of nudity for the sex scene, and you see a lot of Dr. Manhattan's penis (the blue man from the previews). I'd say it's rated R for a reason, and if you can't really handle such things you should stay away from it.
However, it was a very good adaptation of the novel, the only significant change was the entire ending. There was a lot to cover from the novel, and it really only touched the surface of everything, for anyone who enjoyed the movie, I recommend you pick up the book and give it a read.
