My girlfriend is currently enrolled in a technical college. For some reason she just cant get motivated to do any of the work, most of the time i have to sit with her and do the work. Is there any way to get her motivated to do college. Or is it just better for her to drop out. She thinks if she took a semester off she wouldn't go back.

Needing some Help

Welcome back, thefoshe. Is the college program going to be help her in what she wants to do, or is she just doing it to please others? If she is not committed herself, chances of completing it aren't good.If on the other hand she is committed and is just finding it difficult to buckle down to the work, she's not alone. Probably nearly every student feels the same at some point. Doing it with someone else, as she has been doing, is a good way. She may also find it helps to go somewhere where there are no distractions - perhaps somewhere in the college during the day, rather than in her room at night.

Quote: i have to sit with her and do the work. sit with her to get her to do her work or are you doing her work for her? if your sitting with her and helping, i am like that. i kinda have to be made to do my homework and worse for studying. my girlfriend stays on my ass about it. now if your doing her work for her - well hell come over and do mine too please. lol

Well she wants to go for lighting design for theatre. But the college she is currently at is not the best. But she plans on transferring after two years. But her grades arnt so good. She's failed the last two semesters not because she can't do the work, just because she hates the environment of the school. But due to money issues she can't go anywhere else at the moment.

LOL. Nah we do it together. I sometimes feel like I'm doing more than her though.
