Yes, thank you. And yes, Death Note = love.

What Happened When I Legally Exposed My Breasts...
-
Is it just the fact you dislike the thought of having a stranger see your partner naked/topless?
-
It might be. To be honest I never really gave that much thought to it. I have a twin brother and several male friends and they've all seen her bare breasts. We're all often naked around each other.Perhaps I like the close bond me and my friends share? Perhaps I like the aspect of control over the situation? Perhaps I don't like strangers seeing her breasts, other amenities? Perhaps I'm jealous of her attractiveness compared to my own? Those are thoughts that just crossed my mind that I haven't put any thought in. Point is I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. The only think I do know is that in the time I've spend with nude strangers (only a few, but nontheless), I have determined that I wouldn't like the idea of my girlfriend / wife doing the same. Again, it's just the conclusion I came to. I never tried to justify it to myself which was why I said originally I wouldn't take the time to justify it. It's just how I feel about it. Millions of people believe Stephanie Meyer's works are inscriptions from God derived on holy papyrus. Others think her works are just books. Still others believe that are works are the works of hell, regurgitating mundane, sappy emotions into characters whose emotions are supposed to be either strong or nonexistent.Who's right? Who cares? There's no right answer to it. It's what they believe and that belief has no effect on anyone else unless they openly debase others for their own beliefs. Isn't that the issue here?

I lack acceptance? Hmmm OK.. whatever.Like I said, the fact that any nudity is assumed to go hand in hand with sexuality is very typical of the American mentality. That's why you have idiots who see a woman breast-feeding a child being asked to go to the bathroom.

So are you saying that you believe that sexual attraction is only based on mental aspects, and any attraction to the human form is strictly an "American" ideal?I have no problem with women breast-feeding in public. The breasts are performing a very necessary function. Do I believe in taking off your top in public to get a tan on your boobs and nether regions? Not particularly If I felt I really needed to do that there are far more private ways I could go about doing it Nudists say they feel freer doing it, and I think that's pretty cool. I like being nude around my house :P

In some cultures just exposing your ankles is deemed as over-sexual. No wonder they look at American's and Europeans as sexually exploitive... I LOVE learning about ethnocentrism. AWESOMMMMEEEEEI also find it ironic that Americans tend to be the most ethnocentric...woah I just got it!Ok so usually Westerners will find the burqa as a symbol of oppression against women in the Middle East when really it's a sign of respect in their culture so as not to over-sexualize their females... but really Mid. Easterns think the women are sexually exploited over here because of the lack of covering and the representation and immodesty in the media... it starts to make sense.sorry I just unnecessarily discussed a class topic on a2a... =/

So are you saying that you believe that sexual attraction is only based on mental aspects, and any attraction to the human form is strictly an "American" ideal? Only?? No.. but mostly.. you're putting too much weight into "primal" instincts.Strictly? No.. but typical. That's why you have so much FCC sensoring and freakouts over a boob shot (remember a superbowl show?)

I fully understand that objectifying is unfair, but you can't deny the fact you and everyone else in the world has drooled over a hot guy or girl at least once. This is why sex sells because it's in our DNA. You can sexualize a man topless just as easily as a woman so I don't see your point. How is it any different? That was the point the author was making, both of them can be sexualized but its much easier for a man to be topless then a woman.

Quote:Likewise the vagina is used for urination double check your anatomy textbookanyway, sexual attraction, emotional attraction, love, hate and repulsion are ALL in the mind.If women casually walked down the street naked every day, do you think anyone would give them a second look (other that the level of construction worker style leering they suffer already)?Do you think gynechologists and urologists get turned on all day long? Does your hot sister make you sweat? It's all in the mind and it has to do with perception and context.

I agree with you, which is why I said,
you can't deny the fact you and everyone else in the world has drooled over a hot guy or girl at least once
Clearly you misread what I posted since I never mentioned anything about a double standard. I know you can as easily objectify a man as well as woman.

Yeah, let me simply restate that as "vaginal region" "The area between the labia", the "area in and around the vulva". I'm sure most of you understand what I was saying but why not be a little anal about it? (pun intended) :P

You're stripping down what I said into mere bits and pieces, and any part of them could be argued back and forth to kindom come. It can just as easily be argued that the idea of reproduction itself is just that, it's in the mind. It's a driving force that beckons us to reproduce, hence why we desire sex.But you know what? It's of the mind. It can be reprogrammed like anything else.Of course seeing things like breasts, vaginas, penises and backsides could be deprogrammed from being attractive to us, but the fact is it isn't. Rather every culture, from the USA, to Europe, to random tribes in South America all see the human body as a source of physical, sexual excitement. It's one of the first things we observe when looking for a partner. It's that simple. It's not changing anytime soon so why is it being so exhaustedly talked to death?

Because you said, " Personally, I wouldn't be with a woman that took her top off in public. "Because you ARE indeed judging this persons character and saying it's below par.
-
Would you be with a woman who weighed 400lbs?How about a brunette? A blonde? Redhead? How about a girl that was 6'3"A girl that felt bathing was wrong?A prostitute? How about a hardcore Christian?Did you say no to any of those? Then you're judging their characters and saying they're below par! You horrible human being you!Do you see how silly you're being now??

You can yap away... I still stand by my comments that people can't disassociate the body with sexuality.

I need to make a correction.. Strike the word "can't" and replace with "don't and/or won't"
-
And I still completely agree

It really doesnt matter, bodies are bodies, i wouldnt care if my girlfriend liked to go topless on a beach or whatever, its her choice but not being able to go out with someone coz of it sounds a bit controlling, like your saying 'its MY girlfriend so MY body'
