For the most part, generally speaking… The members of this website are probably not doctors. So although it is comforting to go to somebody who is not a doctor to ask their opinion first… The only real way to find out if you have any kind of STD is to go to a doctor and get tested for it. I know in the state of Connecticut they have a organization called planned parenthood. And they do everything from regular gynecology check ups two abortions to STD testing. most STDs are curable, if not, at least treatable… And the general public most STDs are curable, if not, at least treatable… And the general public often makes STDs to sound Way worse than they actually are.

We are not doctors...

@mandapanda41887 I'm not sure what promoted you to post a topic, "We are not doctors", But to the best of my knowledge, In the 14 years I have been on this board of which 12 of those years being a moderator, I don't recall anyone claiming to be a doctor except the owner of this board, Dr.J.
Its our standard practice to tell people these are only our opinions from our own expeeriences and they must seek medical advice to have their questions answered or their issues looked at by a doctor... Just saying!

@mandapanda41887 You are correct that most (all that I know) members of this site are not doctors. More importantly we don't claim to be and, in fact, often encourage people to consult a doctor. But, for whatever reason, not all are able to do that. And, not all questions require the answer of a medical doctor. We try to help those we can, while being careful to remain within the boundaries set by our knowledge and experience. But, by all means, for a definitive answer, consult a doctor.

Yes, it's sad that many people consider such diseases and problems as something shameful and prefer to ask about it on the Internet.
