in all seriousness we cant tell each other there is or isnt a God. just because you write all these things that supposably prove or disprove a God doesnt mean any one has to believe it. personally i believe there is the one true God but im not going to tell others that the God the worship sucks because it isnt mine. plus it isnt like if i believe in my God and you all belive in yours we are automatically going to hate each other. it doesnt matter what God you believe in, if any, as long as you arent forcing your beliefs on others. we all belive different things which is what makes us individuals.

Does god exist?
-
I loved those books my kids are reading htem now.

You dont Have to belive in this god, there are many others, like Zeus, hes a god, or Mars, Yup, Titans created the world!
You could swtich to Voodoo, its an African religion, its awsome!
-
I believe that God exists. Only God knows why he makes the bad things happen in life, we must trust in His judgement.
-
and what about the rock gods? with their righteous chops and rippin chords surely they must have created the universe!
-
"Heavy metal and mullets it's how we were raised

I believe that God exists.Good for you.> Only God knows why he makes the bad things happen in life, we must trust in His judgement. Why must we? Sometimes His judgment and temperment seem rather poor and arbitrary.I'm not a big believer in rolling over and accepting things because you've been brainwashed into believing it's what you have to do. There is more than one way to be a slave.
-
Its too bad you don't believe..I don't try to force my religion or beliefs on anyone else.. you shouldn't either
-
Yea they created the world with notes and chords lol! I should convert to Jewdasm something like that, that way i can be a race and at the same time a religion! It's pretty cool, but voodoo is waaay better!
-
I don't think SteveA forces his religious beliefs on anyone.
-
He shouldnt question everyones beliefs.
-
I'm not "forcing" my beliefs on anyone. In religious discussions, in general, almost everything you hear (at least in North America) is from the pro-religious side. Don't hold your breath waiting for a U.S. presidential candidate who admits that he's agnostic or a non-believer. After gays and overweight people, atheists are the last group that it's OK to harass and discriminate against. Bush's father, when he was president, said that an atheist can't be patriotic. This reminds me of white people complaining about how hard it is to be white. You say:> ts too bad you don't believe..Then you say:> I don't try to force my religion or beliefs on anyone else.. you shouldn't eitherWhat exactly are you doing then? I was under the impression that this thread was a discussion on the existence of God. Did I misunderstand the name of the thread? Is this where I'm supposed to say, "It's too bad you're brainwashed"?I've never had a non-believer try to "force" his beliefs on me. Have you ever had an atheist missionary knock on your door?> He shouldnt question everyones beliefs.Everyone's beliefs are open to question. The uncritical acceptance of things is a flaw, not a virtue, in my opinion. If the subject is something you feel uncomfortable discussing, you are welcome not to participate. You are also welcome to post something constructive. It's your call.In some countries, this discussion would be illegal. Do you think those places are better off because of it?
-
the questioning of belief is is only a threat to those who doubt their own.
-
Nicely said Steve, way to weave those words! What do you belive in? We have an Atheist group here, they dont want anything religious here, they had to take down a cross, now they want churches down also!
-
Atheist are a protected class, aren't they? The U.S. Constitution says that the federal government can't establish a religion, which has been extended to mean that, in a lot of situations, you can't discriminate against someone on the basis of their religious beliefs. But it happens all the time. Every time Congress goes into session. Every time you're in the locker room and the coach leads a prayer session (because, after all, God should favor your team, not theirs). Try running for any political office in the US as an atheist. You'd be far better off as a gay black female.Gay rights will eventually be institutionalized in the U.S. As much as the religious folks dislike it, the tide is running against them. People under 40 are not nearly as bigoted toward gays as older folks are. The currently younger people will eventually be the majority of voters. But discrimination (in the US) toward non-believers will linger for a long time. Sometimes I think it's not whether you believe in God, but the whole idea of believing in God. People seem to be more attached to that idea rather than God's actual existence.
