I'm speechless from this video
-
That was very cute, what an adorable little boy! Like they said wise beyond his years.Though still not sure how I feel about letting a young boy put down a calf. But I suppose that's how it was done years ago.
-
I too am very nearly speachless. It sounds so unnatuaral and scripted. That's my opinion as a parent. Quote:But I suppose that's how it was done years ago. hmmm, how old do you think this phone call is?
-
I think it's one of those father-son type things. Like his father tried to show him to the tools of the trade and how to be a man. He may have been too young for it, but I think that's what makes the video so powerful. Without the cow having existed, the message would have never been preached and god only knows how many people would be lost right now with their faith. God bless that boy, and as someone who commented the video said, Wow. Christ did say that to enter Heaven you need a child-like faith. This young man nailed dead on. He is so wise for his age and is so good at the communication and breaking down the walls we build between God and us.

Calf, the savior
-
Though the sentiment is nice, my gut feeling is this is a scripted piece.
-
How would you explain the crying? That's reaal hard to fake especially considering he's not an actor. I really doubt it would even be worth lying about, especially a popular Christian radio station. I'm sure they would feel wrong about lying.
-
unbelief sounds boring.
-
Wow That was deep. I starting tearing =(I loved it.
-
Lol.
-
I'm a Christian, JapanFan, but that doesn't mean I believe everything uncritically. There are many inspiring stories, sent in emails and quoted in sermons, that turn out to be only stories - originally written as fiction and later taken as fact.
This particular piece lacks ums and ers. Both speakers seem very sure of what to say. It doesn't feel like a real conversation. Also, the style is too reflective for a child, and it is turned into a moral too neatly.
cooldawg, child actors can often put tears on very effectively. Many have good practice on parents.
That doesn't mean that I disagree with the message, though the package is a bit syrupy for my tastes.
-
Eh... I'm not buying it.
-
I know you're a Christian. But that's one of the major problems with adults. They underestimate children all the time. "Oh she's just a child her parents told her to say that. Oh he's just a boy his father taught him to play that."Give them the benefit of the doubt once in a while. You'd be surprised what they are capable of.
-
Well first of all, I'm sure it took a ton of courage for the child to gather up his speech and incredible charisma to tell the radio station that live on air. My heart tells me that he definitely wasn't faking it and it hurts me to even think that he would.
They've interviewed the kid, Logan, so it's definitely a child not an adult. And Bart Simpson isn't even a real child, he has an yellow head and yellow hair and doesn't even have a child's voice, it sounds like an alien. The boy, Logan, lives on an isolated farm in Nebraska. They still stick to the old fashioned ways of going to church every sunday in the same old town for the past 100 years and they still make everything they eat from scratch.
And how wouldn't mustering the ability to euthanize a cow and the sorrow for the cow afterwards not be a religious experience. He was incredibly upset by the whole thing and asked God why it had to happen. And God told him everything has a purpose and to remember that God understands because His own Son died on the cross. The parents of the child even said that he has an incredible connection with the Lord.
-
i dont buy it.
-
I think Rad was joking with the Bart Simpson lol
-
like I said, I'm a parent, I spend a lot of time with kids this age. It doesn't sound in the least bit natural
-
I understand. And I'm not trying to offend any parents. But like I said, adults always underestimate children. Their biggest mistake.
-
So you thought an adult was impersonating a child's voice on that video??
-
okay.. why was someone on the floor?i just dont get that "healing" stuff. =/
