And I admit I ams till in shock that you actually said you would refuse to go to Steph's Church because the pastor is a woman.... just wow. What about my Sunday School teacher, and my Youth Group leaders... they were all female teaching me the bible. I suppose they were in the wrong as well and are headed to hell?

SO I guess you're against equal rights for woman than too right??? So when someone wants to become a pastor or a minister there is a condition:
1\. Must be male. -

Thought the laws may be absolute, I don't believe the punishments are. You remember the case of the adultress where Christ said, "He who is without sin may cast the first stone"...or something like that. The message being that God is to be our judge in such matters. Christ came to fulfill the laws for us. However, this does not give us license to go out and sin as we please. As for gardens, how many folks plant different crops together? I plant all my carrots in a row...then all my beats, etc, etc. I don't plant one carrot then one beat then one cabbage. That's rediculous. And flower are not crops. So I don't see a problem there...it's almost a common-sense thing.

As does mine, thankfully.

Actually most people I know also plant their vegggies in a row??
Eddie .. you must plant your veggies scattered because you like men!!!!!
Maybe I should scatter my veggies to make a stand! -

Just as there are conditions for having children, yes. Equal rights for women? Of course...why not? But that doesn't make you a man, does it. "Equal rights" does not mean we all automatically meat the same conditions. Suppose I was born blind...do I still have the right to drive a car? Does a quadraplegic still have the right to be a fireman? My advice to you is to deal with who and what you are. Be happy about it. None of us has a choice in this. But all this hangs on your ability to accept what's in the Bible as some of the reasoning behind what is in there is not so obvious as the examples I've given. If you reject one portion of the Bible, you reject it all. It becomes meaningless as it allows anybody to reject any portion they want.

A woman is not a disabled person!!!!!!!!I guess my pastor is sinning because she is a woman!!!

I don't remember saying anything about flowers, just veggies I listed.... but anyways... They are all in the same field, so than we must be wrong, guess I better only plant one veggies this year sigh Quote: Thought the laws may be absolute, I don't believe the punishments are.So you are taking free range on what the punishments are? I dunno if you listen anything in Leviticus the punishments are pretty self-explanitory. But I find it curious that like many other Christians you are willing to make exceptions for these punishments as you see fit. Quote:"He who is without sin may cast the first stone"...or something like that. The message being that God is to be our judge in such matters. See and I agree with this statement. We should allow God be the Judge instead of Earth Bond people like you doing it for him. Let me "reap what I sew" in the end if that's the case, but in my heart I just don't believe God would send someone into the bowls of Hell for loving someone.

Why not?

A woman may not have done the same thing (though as we see with all the female teachers having issues with children in school this is changing), but it's not for us to decide what is and is not valid in the Bible. But these men are NOT nor were they EVER representatives of God. They are to be leaders and servants in the church, but the only representative of God is Christ. It seems that you placed much of your faith in those men instead of in Christ. And there are men out there who enter into the service with the specific intent of abusing it in just this way. We must all be careful...not just in church, but in school as well. Anywhere where trust is due to position or standing. I hope this incident ends up as a growth experience for you...but it's not going to be easy.

This would be comparable to a Jewish temple.

I'm not a bible boy, as if you didn't know, so educate me here. If the new testament or whatever it's called kicked out so much of the old how do we know what passages to keep and which to overlook. Wasn't the whole gay thing in the old testament? What did Jesus have to say about gay folks? I have no idea I'm just curious.

I could quote very specific portion of the Bible that I'm sure she would have a set of stock answers for...none of which would hold any water. You'll never get one of them doing a sermon on the issue, though. Are you familiar with Jezebel and what is was that she did? Do you know what God had done to her? Are you familiar with the term "apostasy"?

So what do you call the table-looking thing in the front of the church where the bread and wine is given out, where the candles are, and behind which the Tabernacle sits? A podium/pulpit? No that's on either side....I can't think of what it must be.And how do you know it's not a in a church?
