*Beemer falls over laughing at Steve's link about smells stimulating a gay mans brain - that article was quite amusing!
-
Agrees with Beemer

I went through most of the posts and was -VERY- disappointed to not see a little fact...(especially you steveA! xD)
It has been admitted by MANY straight men(i'll try to find a link) that when they masturbate they think about MEN, yes men. More specifically the PENIS. So they automatically think "oh shit i thought about someone of the same sex i'm a fag!" NO you simply just got turned on thinking about the organ that makes heterosexual, and homosexual(male, =D no hate to lesbians!) acts possible! Plus everyones a little gay to qoute ron white.. not in his exact words but.."Everyones gay, it just depends on how gay" Also like the others -did- say, be more open minded. don't listen to the media, or the government on homosexuality. try looking things up, see the hate crimes that are commited in the name of religion, and race, and general superiority complexes brought on by such things.. but I'm getting of the subject.. and to qoute angel.. I need my coffee... and maybe a bagel... =p

well u being gay has everything to do with.....YOU. sure u may have sexual tendancies, but ur not born gay, and it's not a desease either. if ur gonna do research don't pass up the stories on people who were gay but went strait. the media, soceity, and even teachers or parents have a LOT to say about it. think about how being w/ a female makes u feel as aposed to a male, and in different situations. don't let people sway you back and forth this is ur decision to make.
-
homophobia needs to be changed. if you have arachniphobia you run from the spider. no one runs from gay people!
-
are you turned on by this?Don't ever post crap like that here. OK?
-
Dude, for reals, don't fuckin hate yourself. I have some lesbians in my family, maybe that's why I hate homophobia, but there's nothign the fuck wrong with it at all. I'm sort of bi; I can get off with guys but I dig girls, too. Just be sure you're happy and be comfortable with whatever the hell you are. Don't worry about labels; just be good to yourself, bro.-Johnny K.

In reply to:
but ur not born gay
That's far from true. I strong believe that being gay is not a choice.. it's something you are born with and it's genetic. Not always, but I am finding a lot of the time when there is a large family of siblings often times more than one is gay. Example, there are 6 kids in my family and 2 of us are gay. My Good friend has 6 in his family as well..3 boys and 3 girls..all 3 boys are gay and 1 of the girls is bi-sexual. I hear about stuff like this all the time from people.
As for people going straight after being gay. This can be a few reason. One being they were never really gay to begin with. Some people when they are young try gay sex when they are real young and figure hey I enjoyed it so I must be gay. On the same topic a lot of times the guys who "go Straight" end up finding out later they are gay and end up cheating on their wives.
As to the Original Poster.. you're 13 years old. I am not saying it's impossible to tell if ones gay or not at that age but reguardless you're young. I Seriously wouldn't worry about it. And a for hating us.. what did we ever do to you?? Seriously. We live our lives like any straight person does and should get the same amount of respect. Just chill out and worry about your own life and don't worry about other peoples business.

In reply to: but ur not born gay No conclusive proof exists either way on this issue but I disagree. I think that you probably are born 'Straight' or 'Gay' or 'somewhere-in-between'. There is mounting evidence suggesting that homosexuality runs in families and has a genetic basis, however the famous 1993 claims of a 'gay gene' have never been verified despite hundreds of attempts to do so.As I pointed out in a previous post, every year in the UK and USA (and probably in other countries as well but I don't have any figures for those countries) tens of thousands of men and women suddenly 'switch' their sexuality. People who have (supposedly) lived exclusively straight lives suddenly announce that they are gay. The majority of them say that they always knew but hid it. But a large number of them say that they had simply never realised it before (Kevin Kline plays such a character in the movie "In and Out"). The figures for gay people going straight are much smaller but still significant although of course the figures for this trend are very hazy and impossible to verify without extensive research (the straight to gay figures come from dozens of sources including gay helplines, police records and court divorce records). To the original poster: I realise that these feelings confuse you but just wait it out. Sooner or later you'll figure out where your true feelings lie and then you can settle down and live a happy life.

Also, there is a sequence of hormones that are released in the womb, and if the timing or quantity is a bit off, it can apperently affect the fetus' later sexual orientation (according to some research I'm too lazy to look for now).As I posted in another thread a while back, recent research points to neurological differences between gay and straight men. (Keep in mind that "some research results" is not the same thing as "proof".)
-
In reply to: "Gayness" isn't genetic" Some research has shown that it is... I tend to believe that it is!
-
I also believe that homosexuals are born that way. Reaserch indicates that the hypothalamus of a gay man is somewhat smaller than that of a straight - more similar to a woman's. Also, homosexual tendencies can be seen in young children as well, even before they were exposed to actuall homosexuallity.

Nice posting Eddie!Nicely put. Too bad the rest of these ignorant schmucks can’t see it that way... I too believe that being gay is not a person’s choice. It’s in your mechanics...It’s in your building blocks at the cell level... And for the record, I don’t believe any of those bull shit stories about being gay and after some counseling from the church minister or shrink, they became straight... That is all crap!

Amen Sister!!!

This is the most gay-mythbusting thread I've ever read on here. I have to say that that whole seeing a priest and going to couseling will and cannot change someone's sexuality, like you said. They need to pay a little more attention to science and how it has shown how a gay guy's brain is slightly different from a straight male's brain. Counseling, exorcism and all that kind of stuff cannot cause a person's brain to change enough mentally/internally and physically. It's sad to see how all these people come out of counseling and their lives are destroyed because they think that they can be changed and they do everything wierd and differently. It's caused a lot of suicides. I wish I could find it, but some guy went into one of these life-changing things with his church and throughout all of it, he was physically harmed, forced to marry a woman and have children, and severely mentally harmed to the point of insanity and he ended up killing himself and leaving behind two daughters.

In reply to: Reaserch indicates that the hypothalamus of a gay man is somewhat smaller than that of a straight - more similar to a woman's. YAY someone else seen that study LOL. I was trying to think that of the hypothalamus, but for the life of me couldn't remember the name hehe. I remember going over that in Psychology in college and also watching the study on discovery channel.

Exactly. Like would be a lot easier if people would just chill out and worry about their own lifes and don't worry about other peoples business. I dunno to me seems like a simple thing to ask but some people are just nosey and well bossy so to speak and have to put in their opinons where their opinions are not needed or wanted.Such a simple task and yet it'll never be done.
