Tonight at a party, me and a friend were leaving, some car comes flying into the driveway and people get out screaming call 911.
We ask what happened, and get the response "Name" is down there laying in the road with blood coming from his head." I get on my cell phone and dial 911, and just immediately call for an ambulance, then procede to drive down this road.
I find someone I used to hang out with about 3 years ago, laying in the middle of the road, with lots of blood coming from his head, eyes closed, not moving, and shoes laying about 6 feet from him.
It was very shocking, then I find a car in a field, that looked like it hit a Mack truck, with the driver walking around stunned, again someone I knew. Find out from him, they hit water and slid into a ditch flipping the car about 30 feet from the road, about 40 feet from the boy in the road.
Find out "Name" wasnt wearing his seat belt, what an eye opener this is. Still on the phone, Im told to go to him, and check for a pulse and breatheing, I knew he was gone, but I did this anyway. As I walk towards him, Im just hoping for some sign of a pulse, only to find nothing, just a lifeless body, still warm, its just not sinking in, how weird this is to me. He felt alive, but just wasnt moving, like he was sleeping but wouldnt wake up...
I stay until the cops arrive and Im told to go home, I just cant seem to get the image of his face out of my head. Then Im called by someone who knew him, and I had to give the news that he was gone, I couldnt lie to her. Has anyone been through this? And know if this is normal, I cant sleep at all? Or have any good advice?
I just dont understand it, I mean why couldnt he have landed in the field, not the road? Or just worn a seat belt, its very sad.
