Is it just me or is the entertainment business slacking? I'm sorry but there are TOO many reality shows. There's even a reality show about reality shows. Come on. Movie's are beginning to suck major lollipops. They're not as great as before. Every movie is about some person already existing. Movies with the same theme. Robots taking over the world. Boy and girl getting together. It's just so boring now. And the actors and actresses are BLEGH! Anybody could be on tv now. Celebrities think they're gods. Reality check! We the people of earth (lol) deserve good entertainment. We demand good entertainment. And not just the sexual pleasure kind either..cough cough. We're paying to watch the stupid movies anyway. Mine as well not bother. It's just really suckish right now. The news has nothing but bad news really. Even though that's sorta off topic. Seriously, you rarely hear ANYTHING good on the news. If I want to see how much sin the world is in, I turn on the news lol. But no seriously, hollywood is slacking. Get some new ideas or something. The same old thing is getting kind of boring. Use your imaginations. If they have one .

Hollywood slackers

It sounds like it's time to read books and surf the Web. Or check the foreign section at the video store. Or rent one of the hundreds of incredible film classics that you have probably not seen. Or watch PBS. Or watch the Simpsons, South Park, or Family Guy. Or talk to your friends. Or add a diary entry, draw a picture, or write poetry. Take some pictures. Talk to an old person. Read a newspaper. The possibilites are endless.
-
Mmmm, I hear ya.... And look at where I am now. Here. Typing. To you. Which is okay, though, because I don't have a lot of money to spend at movies. I also have no time for NUTHIN. lol... Driver's Ed, swimming, and school are sucking everything else away.

i think hollywood has always been slackerish in making variations on the same movies and yes i hate the boom of reality tv shows very annoying...but theres still quite a lot of good films being made, i think it was last year when there was loads of good movies out from hollywood eternal sunshine, lost in translation etc etc and also theres always some good independant movies, where i live we have an independant cinema which shows foreign films and more low budget stuff. as for tv, i can honestly say i dont watch much of it, i never see anything decent on, the only series i used to watch was six feet under, but it finished last week *sob*

The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy are the 3 best shows on TV.Japan... You can also watch the Discovery and History channel. Learn something new or... Make your own CLEAN movie Reality shows suck ass. At first, they were differnt, now they just suck. Only one I watch is the local news That and Trading Spouses on FOX. That show is pretty interesting, but I usually forget to watch it.
-
Trading Spouses is just a rip off of the British show Wife Swap. I hate it when people just steal ideas like that and its thought of as being so original!
-
I have BBC America on my cable so I got to see alot of shit there that Im now seeing the last year or two in Aerican tv.The Office, Couples, Trading Spaces. Thers ore but I cant remember the names of them right off. That is the American way, steal the shit, make it yours, get rich.Maybe Im retarded because of watching the originals but I still like them better then teh American counter parts
-
Of course the originals are better, thats what made them great. Just cause ya steal an idea or concept, it doesn't guarantee a good show.
-
I cant think of the name of it now. There is another show on there I love. Im suprised that it hasnt been ripped off in the U.S. yet. They take some one and train them in like 30 days to be something they are not and then stick them in contests to see if they can get busted or not.iv seen them pull off being a chef, a conductor, lots of other shit. Its a great show, I always get a laugh when I catch it on.fakers? I dunno, something but its great
-
Fakers, yeah. They had a few episodes in the states, like getting a computer nerd girl to bcome a professional cheerleader.
-
yeah they just re-hash old movies and books. You really have to look for good movies these days.
-
Movies these days are mostly copies (excluding of course the adaptations like Harry Potter and LOTR). Like Taxi, a fun comedy, very American and original. Eh... nope! Originally made in France, with the name Taxi and directed by Luc Besson. Its almost the exact same except that there are more half naked women in the American version, but less sex. And its the same for movies like Vanilla Sky, originally a Spanish film called Open Your Eyes starring Penelope Cruz. And also Nikita, another Luc Besson film remade for the American audience.
-
Actually I do look at the discovery and history channel. But I usually have so much work from school that I barely have time for anything. I mostly just set aside time to study my Japanese for a while and learn more about the culture. If I get too crazed with it I move on to some other country or whatever but when I just want to relax and "not think" lol there's nothing good on tv.
-
Sci-Fi is also okay. They have a few good shows later on, especially The Twilight Zone (doo-doo-doooo-doo).
-
I can agree with you about the Americanized British shows. They're pretty awful. I like the original "What Not to Wear". It's rather funny, with the girls saying stuff like " Babe, you've got some great tits, show them off a bit more..and look at that arse!". The US version is rather lame, and just annoying.BBC has some rather good shows as well, like "Are You Being Served", "Keeping Up Appearances", "Mr. Bean", and the sort.
