Another thign Steve, for as smart as a guy that you seem to be at time, whydo you have to always belittle peoples grammatical errors. I mean, when you read what we write even if its written slightly wrong, do you still not understanding what we are saying? So why then do you have to always rub it in our face?

Stigmata

>Hey Ntrod what protestant branch do you follow if your not catholic? or you dont follow any one in particular?
I was raised Non-denominational. You?
-
"...after you have the last word, of course."
Be my guess and think that, you can have the last word all day long if thats what will really please you. You might be smart, but so immature at times, its quite sad.
-
I was raised Catholic and still am, but like you I dont agree with everything that the church takes literally.
-
I’m not touching this one guys… It’s too volatile
-
cool cool =-D
-
Yea run while you can Roc!
-
Who is Matthew duffy and is he gay? I ask because that yellow shirt makes me wonder lol
-
ROFL! He's a new singer, he used to be a popular back-up dancer for a lot of popular artists. He's not popular right now, and most likely will just be a one hit wonder, but he's pretty tallented. And yes he's gay LoL.

I'm not criticizing anyone's use of commas, but some people would consider it offensive not to capitalize the name of their religion. How can you talk about people disrespecting your religion when you don't even capitalize its name? Sometimes spelling errors make a sentence ambiguous or hard to understand. I had to think about "inteview" for a bit.It would be respectful to the community at large to glance over what you write and at least fix the major things before hitting that "post" button.NM> threads that were not created about religionSo a thread about the movie Stigmata, that evolved in to a discussion about stigmata, has nothing to do with religion? It's not about motorcycle maintenance.NM> I think you have a mis-informed idea of what Angels are here for.Ooooookkkkaaaayyyy, I think I'll not take this angel discussion any further. It doesn't matter who was on Earth or who's coming back. Horrible things have been happening, horrible things continue to happen, and horrible things will continue to happen, both natural and man-made. For all intents and purposes, God doesn't seem to care. You guys talk about free will and God not interceding, so prayer must be pointless. People are praying for all kinds of things all the time, all over the place. Are they just wasting their time? You guys don't seem to like the Catholic church. Don't you think you're being disrespectful?

Oh no I accidently made a typo and said interview. My appologies to you. But you have made typos before Steve, so stop acting like you are perfect at typing. It's gonna happen and sorry i don't proof read everything I type. Also I do try and reread my posts. But sometimes the brain misses things, esp whole words because it knows what you mean to say and sometimes reads a word thats not there.. like my word interview. It happens.>It would be respectful to the community at large to glance....Umm practice what you preach. It's hard to believe you are making a big deal about minor typos. I'm not perfect, first one to admit it. Actually thank the lord I'm not.. could you imagine the stress of being perfect. As I said you have made typos, I have made typos.. we all have. It's a message board, mine as well get used to it.>So a thread about the movie Stigmata, that evolved in to a discussion about stigmata, has nothing to do with religion? It's not about motorcycle maintenance.Umm it was talking about a movie that was very good. Gee I wonder who sparked the religions debate.....>Ooooookkkkaaaayyyy, I think I'll not take this angel discussion any furtherA VERY good idea, smart move.>It doesn't matter who was on Earth or who's coming back. Horrible things have been happening, horrible things continue to happen, and horrible things will continue to happen, both natural and man-made. For all intents and purposes, God doesn't seem to care.Did you even read my previous posts?? I mean seriously. I don't even want to be a broken record so please take your statement and apply it to my posts above.>You guys talk about free will and God not interceding, so prayer must be pointless. People are praying for all kinds of things all the time, all over the place. Are they just wasting their time?Prayer is never pointless. But you are talking about people who are praying for things that aren't possible. Like world peace. it's not going to happen. It wasn't possible when Jesus walked the earth, so why would it be possible now?>You guys don't seem to like the Catholic church. Don't you think you're being disrespectful? To be blunt.. I'm not Catholic so their views and "rules" mean nothing to me. There are views I dislike about the Catholic faith, but again I shrug it off becuase again it's very mute to me.

I guess that wasn't the last word.I was answering PW, not you, about the typos. Notice to whom I replied. Perhaps I should have quoted him and put his initials in front. But while we're on the topic, let me repeat: It really wouldn't hurt us to glance over what we write before we post it. It just takes a moment. Sometimes a misspelled word can change the meaning of a sentence.> A VERY good idea, smart move.Unless you want to discuss what Santa's bringing you this year...> Did you even read my previous posts?? I mean seriously. I don't even want to be a broken record so please take your statement and apply it to my posts above. You danced around the question, without really answering it. Haven't you watched Meet the Press? You're just repeating the Christian platitudes that were drummed into your brain, but really make no sense at all, if you think about them.God believes in free will / God meddles in human affairs / God answers prayers / God doesn't answer prayers / God answers some prayers / God performs miriacles / God doesn't intercede. I guess it depends how you look at it.> It wasn't possible when Jesus walked the earth, so why would it be possible now? That should really make you wonder. I wonder why peace is not possible. Why did God make us so war-like? Bononbos aren't. Why are chimpanzees and humans?I guess Jesus is not all-powerful.It's possible to make a touchdown on the next play. Should I pray to God and ask him for it?If a lot of people pray for a sick person, does God bow to popular opinion and help that person? Are people with no friends screwed, then?Dude, you sure like to argue about religion!

I guess that wasn't the last word.I was answering PW, not you, about the typos. Notice to whom I replied. Perhaps I should have quoted him and put his initials in front.Perhaps you should stick a pie in your hole? You talk to much lol And to take Ntrod's back on this one, not that hes needs me as a shadow...perhaps if you dont want people to read and reply to statement you make to certain indivduals as is the case now with Ntrod and u, then maybe your should PM me. This is a public board you know, hence people can make comment about anything you say when and if they feel like it. So next time if you want things to be so private, feel free to PM, Ill even read something from the likes of someone like you believe it or not. And when I said last word I meant my last post on religion on this particular post.........CAUUUUUUUSEEEE WEEEEEEE ALLLL KNOOOOOW HOW STEEEEVE IS and how hes going to go on like a immature little boy and say "I though that your were done speaking." Am I right Steve? Want to make a comment on that one too? I mean its seems like you have all the time in the world due to the fact that you constantly make corrections on peoples spelling and have 9000 posts since march of this year. I mean do you have a job, family, or anything going on in your life. Maybe that whyyou havesuch negative feeligns about this world So why not make another usless post while your at it so I can sit back in amazement on the type of indivdual you are, cause after all you never seem to cease to amaze me. Sad man, really sad.P.S. Sorry for the bash, saying somethign to that extreme realy hurts my feelings being that its so below the belt and all, but I think you need a wake up call or something.
-
I think you need a wake up call or something. That part was pretty funny. I have no idea what the rest of that angry (I think) screed was about. You must admit, that was a really long, really rambling paragraph.Ok, now take a deep breath...relax.Was that the last word?
-
hahahahaha"Was that the last word?"Quit screwing with me Steve :P Seriously though man, I could see you being such a nice person whom it would be fun to have and enjoyable intellectual conversation with if you werent so unappealing with the way you talk sometimes. I mean I know I cant change you or anything, but do you think you could at least work on it a little. Im trying to be nice here now, if that even possible after the last post I just made.
-
I could see you being such a niceI'm Satan. God won't get an accout here because he fears engaging me. He is so self conscious.Edit: By the way, the sig is a message to the Christians who jump at the chance to go to battle. Some of them missed the "Prince of Peace" Sunday school discussion.

\>Dude, you sure like to argue about religion!
Only with you because I still find it fascinating that someone who claims he's atheist comes here and judges other peoples faith. Again I find it interesting for someone who says he wishes religion wasn't throw in his face tries to belittle religion and pushes it in other peoples face. Kind of hypocritical huh?
\>Unless you want to discuss what Santa's bringing you this year...
Unless you want me calling you a jerk for calling my grandmother a lier or delusional or whatever word you might have used. Again just because you don't believe in something doesn't disclude it exists. Even if you want to say she was seeing things.. this Apparition gave her sanity and calmed her in her time of need, that's good enough for me.
As for the remark about Santa.. though he is dead now, he was a real man.. just not as exaggerated as the lore has made him.
\>I guess Jesus is not all-powerful.
Who said Jesus was all powerful? Jesus was a human who's father was God. He was able to preform miracles through his father(God). God worked through his son, Jesus.
\>It's possible to make a touchdown on the next play. Should I pray to God and ask him for it?
Umm go for it.. but I think it's not going to take priority. What do you think?
\>If a lot of people pray for a sick person, does God bow to popular opinion and help that person? Are people with no friends screwed, then?
You have a very screwy view. Example (easier this way). When my Grandfather was very ill, he had like 5 heart attacks and was being very mean because of all the pain, every night I prayed for God to take away his pain because it hurt everyone to see him in such pain. Well one day while at my friends/cousins house my sister Angel arrived and told me to get my things because Grandfather died. I was upset and at first upset with god at first. Than I realized my Grandfather was out of pain and in heaven. I realized God answered all out wishes, which was to take my Grandfather out of pain. Sometimes he works in mysterious ways.. I'm sure you heard that before. -
OK, Jesus has limitations, and so does Santa. I guess being dead can put a crimp into one's being.
The idea of angels dancing around your head makes as much rational sense as the idea of Santa bringing gifts to all the good little girls and boys with his flying sleigh. Anyone who talks about angels non-metaphorically is either a child or a silly person.
>>It's possible to make a touchdown on the next play. Should I pray to God and ask him for it?
> Umm go for it.. but I think it's not going to take priority. What do you think?
So God has to prioritize, just like the rest of us non-all-powerful folks.
>> If a lot of people pray for a sick person, does God bow to popular opinion and help that person? Are people with no friends screwed, then?
> You have a very screwy view.
How so? People pray for sick people all the time. Would those people fare worse if no one was praying for them? What's all this about prayer circles, then? Does God listen to the loudest voices?
Would your grandfather have been left to linger and suffer if no one prayed for him?
There are lots of people in who linger in pain for years, and people who spontaneously die, and prayer doesn't have a single thing to do with it.

WOOOOOW Boys!Calm it down!
