-
Trust me, I am fully gay hehe.. do you need further proof? I can have people give you testimonies on how they know I am gay if you need hehe
-
Are you Super Gay?
-
Well i think hes super well unless he and pink really DID get married without inviting me and then i don't so much sulk
-
Well I am not gay or bi, but I was technically not opposed to this. At first I had never been against anything about two people of the same gender getting together because to me, it didn't affect my life. If two people of the same gender got married and I don't know them, I thought them getting married was their business, their life, and it was them, nothing to do with me, so why care just have a nice life. Now , I admit I am really not the person to even say since I am not as religious as I could, but in the bible it talks about two people of the same gender being together and I now don't really agree with it. Because it does affect our live sand yours too. Now, people who know me outside of this site, in person, know I am not a saint and made mistakes against Gods word and all that but I don't think its right because of what is said in the bible. I know for some, this can be a reason people turn against God because of this. Alot of churches don't accept homosexuals, but I think they should. I can imagine it is hard, I know you would say how would I know unless I was, and I am not, but I can imagine it because I just imagine how it would be like if it was turned around. Some might want to be for God, but thinking about it, how can you stop these feelings you have. If you love someone, you love them and want to be with them, so it must be hard. so I think of it like the other around imagine being gay would be loving the opposite gender. I like guys, they are hot, can be totally zany and I love that about them and if it was turned and gay was loving the opposite sex, I do love God, but I don't think I would be able to hold how I feel. So basically what I am saying is it is hard, especially in the world where everyone is labeled and all these things, i don't think gay marriage is right, but this is my opinion and I know it must be hard, but some churches can help and even though its wrong, I wouldn't know how to stop the feelings, so thats my opinion, tell me what you think.

Wow, I didn't realize he thread was practically over, so late , well thats me for ya

You're saying that you think it's wrong (for religious reasons), but you can understand it. (On that tack, there are a lot of things in the Old Testament that are considered "wrong", including cutting the hair on the side of your head...at least, if you're a man. If you're a Christian, where does Jesus say that it is wrong?)The question is, should it be allowed under the law (sanctioned by the state), or not?

What... You mean.. we arent .. together?

Thats what it always comes down to and I would say and go with God on this one, but I can't. I believe in him, but I have to say it can't be fair to be labeled as gay, bi or whatever some want to label it as. I don't think its something that anyone was born with and that it was more of how you were raised, traits you saw growing up and that has effects. But really, to me, I am not trying to be rude if anyone who is of homosexuality or anything and is proud, but I can't say it is fair for them to have to deal with something like this because of the ridicule it gets and the labeling it comes up to. I normally would go with what the bible says about homosexuality, but I can't, because you can't control how you feel and some emotions and feelings some cant keep bottled up and can't be washed away, it should be allowed under law is what I think and they should be treated just like us, they are still people, not aliens or mutants or whatever, they are human beings like us with just different feelings.
-
OK, but I wonder if you feel the same way about all of the other proscriptions in the Old Testament. It's not clear that God thinks that eating shellfish is a lesser sin than engaging in homosexual acts. Jesus didn't have much to say about either. In any case, I am glad that you are able to separate your moral beliefs from civil law.
-
I see your point and I see how my beliefs were kind of troubling my feelings with the discussions in our lives today with homosexuality. I wanted to believe and agree and lets homosexuals be treated fairly and equally, but I felt I had to feel different because of the bible, but I guess as I thought more about it, I realize homosexuality is real and people shouldn't be treated like crap or so rude because of how they feel about someone of the same sex. and also it says God treats each sin as the same. He considers them no less like stealing is the same to him as murder. sometimes I have a hard time thinking of it like that, but its true. Plus I grew up not eating certain foods like never have eaten steak or bird or shrimp and alot more food.

>Are you Super Gay?
If you mean super gay as flambouyant, queeny, wear "man" make-up etc etc... No! LoL. I'm actually very much a typical male... other than I like other males hehe.

I think you and Superman and Batman could have a 3some! If it was the Goerge Clooney version of Batman and Brandon Routh as Superman.. Sounds like a good deal to me!

I always wondered why my sister was so pro gay marriage. I find nothing wrong with it but my parents do and she would always argue with them about it and she was actually a really good defender and always putting up an argument. Well now that she's getting married and everything it's still kind of confusing. But since she's moved out I've taken her room and she left alot of her old stuff. She had a lot these magazines and stuff etc etc that discussed the gay issue and it wasn't totally weird but it just didn't seem like her. I found some letters from a girl (yes, I was spying but so what it's my room now ). Lots of letters. Love letters. Things like that. So I'm guessing my sister used to be a lesbian. I would have never thought but the girl she was with or her "lover" I don't know is actually someone I know that I thought was just a close friend or something. But I guess not. I wonder what happened though. I'm guessing maybe the pressure from my parents changed her mind or not wanting to deal with the drama or maybe she just found another love. I don't want to ask her about it for fear of her tearing me to shreds not to mention it would be kind of weird but I'll leave that subject alone.

In reply to: The question is, should it be allowed under the law (sanctioned by the state), or not? Heres a different way of looking at it...In a modern secular state why should straight people get state benefits for a religeous ceremony? This raises other questions like just how secular our respective states are. Britain has a state church but we are more secular in culture than the US, ironically.
