Avoiding impotence?

There is a difference between impotence and nerves. Nerves are just something you are going to have to over come.Kegles (I think I spelled it right?? Lol) are a good exercise though, btw.

Actually something I wanted to add about impotence, to help avoid impotence you need to maintain a healty lifestyle of eatting right and exercise. I won't say this is a solve all for impotence but it increases the chances tremendously of it not happening.

As Ntroducing says, having temporary problems getting it up because of nerves is quite common and isn't classified as impotence. The word impotence is usually used of chronic difficulty in getting hard.
How much nerves are a problem depends on the individual. The important thing is to accept that if it happens, it happens, but it's only a temporary hurdle that will come good with time. If you can take a relaxed and confident attitude it will help.
Chronic impotence can have a number of causes. Low testosterone level is one, but often it's due to circulation problems. Diabetes causes circulation problems, and difficulty getting hard may be the first sign of diabetes. As Ntroducing says, doing things that keep your body healthy generally - eating healthily and getting exercise - will keep the erectile machinery also at its best.

Quote:if i couldnt get it up when it would be my first time, i dont think id forgive myself, like ever...It happens to lots of guys, and doesn't happen to lots of others. In the big scheme of things, it doesn't matter. Life and sex aren't about performances that you get rated on - they are to be enjoyed, not rated.

I'll admit I was rather embarrassed at the time, but we tried again the next day and everything worked out perfectly. We had a great time together, and by the time we were finished, the failure of the night before was long forgotten. This was a few months ago, and our relationship is still fine. What you fear is a fairly common thing, from what I understand, but having had the experience firsthand I can tell you that it's certainly not the end of the world. Once you effectively perform, I doubt you'll care much at all
