It sounds like he's already ahead of schedule in his recovery. I wish him all the best.

They shuold of called for an ambulance, that way he can be moved witha backboard and reduce the risk of further injury.sometimes a bone will break and your still fine, but you get moved and that bone severs shit in your spinal column and you end up paralyzed. That being said, it sounds as though hes going to be OK, IV taken many falls but never hit the ground on a 3 story fall, the most I did with a ground fall was 2 floors, hit a hand rail, fell back into teh launder system and a brick floor breaking my leg and a nice concusion. It was on my last shift about 2 hours before I got off, I went to the hospital in the company ambulance, got checked out, the leg set and casted and returned to work 3 days latter on my regular shift. I got saddled with light duty for 2 months, but never missed a shift. hours after returning home I was on crutches at the then Delta center to see the Jazz play the Bulls in game 7 of the NBA finals.I include that part because falling is not absolutely a bad thing, its nevre good, but it doenst mean your in deep shit, its possible to walk away with little to nearly no injury or atleast not have anything that is going to impact you for the rest of your life.If it were me, Id stop sweating shit over your brother, he sounds like hes doing really well, and has no permenant injury. There is enough to worrie and stress over in life with out adding shit that doesnt need to be there. With what you dewscribe in his current state, Id nto spend alot of time or effort being scared or worried about his state, it sounds like he got lucky doesnt have any serious shit that will impact his life after a few weeks down the road.Iv taken falls of a class 2 anture, fallen over 80 feet and smacked into the side of a cliff when the rope ran taught, busted helmuts, been knocked out, broken my wrist and ankle and woke up lowered to teh ground by my belayer. Just because you have an impact with the ground ro rock, it doesnt mean its over or that your forever fucked. a hundred people a day in the US alone do it and most of them walk away with little or no real damage. If you want to go baytshit and freak out over this, then wait till a qualified doctor gives you a reason to worrie, and if that happens seek a second and third opinion before you go down teh road to a total fucking freak out.

isnt it bad to get up after such a horrible injury? usally yea. specailly after a fall like that. the good thing is he's at home now. they wouldn't have let him go home (i htink) if he had a break or bleeding. So that's he's home with u is a big yay! he'll be sore as hell for a while i bet.
wishes him a speedy recovery

Happy to hear that you're brother's apparrently OK. Do give him lots of hugs (if it's not too painful). The fact that they sent him home is indeed a good sign. He's certainly very lucky.

I broke my neck in an auto accident once...and walked away from it. Your brother was even more lucky than I. Perhaps it's some kind of wake-up call as to just how precious life is and we all are to each other.Though we don't always agree on things, the board would not be the same without you. Stay.
