Ok, so I am a 16 year old male, I'm 6' and I weigh 118 lbs.Everyone I talk to about my weight just says that I have a high matabolism. Thing is, if my matabolism is so high, and Im always eating the junk food I am(i.e. fast foods)- I mean to say, If I stop eating them I am afraid that I will all in all lose more weight. I work out, try to gain muscle, but I fail, miserably. My weight all-in-all is stable, sometimes it gets down to 115, then other times its up to 120, but mostly in between, I just need help.Help? Please?

Hm, I could try the High-Protein Diet, but not heavy lifting...Im not that strong(at all). And I would probably die of stress.

Eat. Eat, eat and eat.
Screw the high protein diet, in fact, I'd say a high protein diet is the worst thing you could eat right now.
Get some protein into you, but aim for tons of carbs and fats. If you're still not gaining weight, just up the amount of total food your eating.

Maybe even become more muscular.

You might eat a lot, but if you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough. It's that simple. If you don't want to gain fat, but muscle instead then you have to lift weights. Small muscles just mean you have to use small weights and slowly build up.

Cheaper and better for you than a trip to your favorite fast food peddler.I guess, haha, you guys are great thanks, I think I will be staying here for a while.>You might eat a lot, but if you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough. Oh fuck oh dear, let me tell you something from experience.Your fucked.you can bust yuor ass or you can accept it.I used wieght gainers and worked out I ate tons of shit, alot of junk food, tried it all, I never gained a fucking pound.I finished HS at 5'8" and wrestled in the 98 and under class.working out helped, I gained strength but no size. I had a trainer, it just dint work for me.so you have two choices you can accept it and move into shit that uses your size to your advantage, or you can set a goal and bust your ass.I knwo what I did wrong. Shit I still do it wrong. I eat tons of junk food, but not so much fast food. I always have a drink and a candy bar or cookies or donuts or some snack shit and because of your body type your jsut fucked, you can eat that shit and stay thin, or you can give that shit up, eat a balanced diet work out and that 1 or 2 times a week wont cut it, and gain size. The entire fucking dilemma boils down to how bad you want it.First thing is give up teh junk shit, eat some fucking salad, get alot of carbs but complex ones not simple ones. pasta, shit like that is complex carbs. look at an entire life style change not jsut adding some wight training a couple times a week and going on about shit the way you alwasy have.someplace on this site is a pretty fucking decent archive of some shit Helms wrote up a title something about the basics of being big. read that, look into a regular fucking life. that means nutritian, and schedule. you cna take 5 fat bastards and 5 skinny fuckers and toss them in the boot camp and in 6 weeks they come out looking more alike than ever. the thin ones get exercise and a routine and regular meals, same as the fat ones and the fat ones drop it and the think ones pack it on. add to that someone that really wants it and has the determination and the means and in 6 weeks you could be looking pretty decent body wise. its easier for you to gain wieght and zize than it is for someone fat to lose it, but both goals are achived the same way. diet and exercise and proper nutrition is the biggest part of the diet. not jsut cutting calories or adding more carbs and less protien but over all blanced diets.I eat like shit, but Im comfortable with my self. Im 5'11" and currently sitting at about 162 lbs, a bit too thin, but it works for my life. I climb rock and ice and bulk is an enemy there, Im tall enough to reach through alot of problems on the verticle faces and strong enough to be able to pull myself up on a chin up with one hand, or one finger on each hand but my goal is to do one handed one finger chin ups. Iv come along way inteh last few years after a shoulder injury fucked me for a year, its al ldetermination and dedication. you have to be willing to do the time and work to be how you want to be if you dont have that then everything else is just shit and nothing will help, start with attitude, not looking for short cuts. thers alot of info on diet and baic body building. Yo dont want to be ripped, your looking to add mass, keep that in mind when looking into a program.

You probably wont see results of working out for 3 months, and I can garauntee you there is almost no way of being over-muscular unless your on roids, or if you are always in the gym.
-
I really don't understand why people want to put on fat. If you are eating all right you are not going to be dangerously underweight, and you are just meant to be naturally thin. Putting on fat makes you less healthy, and as you get older and your metabolism slows down, you'll find you balloon out and it's very hard to get the fat off.
Putting on muscle through a bit of working out and protein is a much healthier habit that won't cause you problems as you get older. There's no fear of looking like Helms - that requires a great deal of dedication. Most guys don't get beyond the semi-muscular look.
Eating less, BTW, probably won't make you much thinner, if you eat when you're hungry.

I'm going to say it again because I don't think you fully appreciate how hard those guys work for their bodies. It takes years, and years, and years of heavy lifting, and diet management to get to that size. You seem to think having small muscles makes weight lifting harder, nuh uh. The bigger the muscle, the far more painful and stressful it is on the body. These guy willingly go through that pain nearly everyday, every week, eating mainly lean meat, vegetables, wholegrains and some other sources, and if they gain 10lb in 6 months, that's an excellent achievement. It's not like you pick up a weight and your arm suddenly explodes into a muscular monster. You'll gain it slowly, and you can watch, assess and judge when you've reached your desired size. Word of warning though, once you start to grow, so does your desired size.

I don't understand it either! If I can have all the fat sucked out of me, I would.

you HAD to see results in 3 months
HAD TO.
be it the way you felt, or maybe improved strength, a better build to some degree or something, some kind of results had to be there at 3 months of starting.
