Charles Darwin was a racist? Well, that definitely disproves his theory!I can't help but notice the attempt by some to ridicule Darwin by intimating that he is/was a senile old man, as if this has any sway over the validity of his theory. Hitler was a right old cunt but the guy built a brilliant motorway system. Should the Autobahn be destroyed, despite its efficiency and great design, simply because we don't like the guy who had it built? The truth is that Darwin's theory is central to the foundations of modern biology. But instead of recognising this, Christians (and people of other religions too) still try to discredit it out of their own selfish fear that it goes against their made-up religion. If the Bible was proved to be wrong (forgetting for a moment that it pretty much has been already) and there was no resurrection for it, how would it change who you are? Would you become a murderer, simply because God is not watching? Or a rapist? Or a thief? Probably not. But if you wouldn't, why do you believe that others would? There are many people like myself who pay no attention to the Bible and yet I am not a rapist or a murderer. The most immoral thing that I have ever done was look at the cleavage of a girl who I later found out to be a well developed thirteen year old. Am I the face of evil? Should I be sent to hell? What makes the Bible so important to you? Its infalibility? Well, we all know that isn't true. Have you ever noticed a contradiction in the Bible, but simply blamed it on your own misunderstanding of the text? What about 2 contradictions? Or how about 5? Or maybe, 143? Obama's Vision for Government-Run Childhood

I'm sure the Hitler Youth did a lot of good for the populace, in some ways...but it came at a price. That price was indoctrination into the "Arian Nation" way of thinking. Kids grew up thinking of Adolph Hitler as being next to God, and were willing to blindly follow him in any way he asked. That's a form of brainwashing...erasing old ideas and putting new ones in their place. They were not taught how to think (for themselves), but rather what to think.Oh, sure...the government (or Obama) knows how to hang that carrot out there to make folks go for this whole idea. The solution could have been as simple as raise the income level for qualifying for things such as food-stamps and education vouchers and such...but then folks would most likely stop and think as to why do we need government-controlled daycare. So, we've got the government (in California, so far) telling us we can't homeschool our children...we've got the government (or Obama) offering (though I'm sure it will become mandatory at some point) to take care of our daycare needs...and now in Canada:Canadian Court to Father: Grounding Daughter 'Too Severe' a PunishmentSure, Canada is more liberal than the US...hence to willingness for the public to tolerate this kind of bullshit...but it'll likely end up here too.Wake up, people.

in Canada our primary source for child care is public. The only problem we have is that there isn't enough of it.as a matter of fact there is huge resistence to large companies comming in to provide corporate mass child care... WalMart day care if you like. Of course, large corporations never have their own agenda so lets send our kiddies there.Or, we can all just sit at home on welfare and mind our own children.Your paranoia is getting worse with each passing day my friend

Oh dear. Calm down, boo, I seriously don't remember mentioning anything about Christianity, religion, or morals. Unless you're talking to someone else but the reply was towards me??All I said was he was a racist prick. What's wrong with that. Sure he was intelligent. Never said he wasn't. And that's Good on him. Doesn't take away from the fact he was a racist British man. How does that take away from his theory honestly?

I am hopeful that this, the 5,674th thread dealing with Christianity and the 3,042th dealing with Darwin/Evolution will no doubt settle both of these issues once and for all!
Woot!

Sorry Abi, the majority of that post wasn't aimed at you. I started off dealing with what you said, then moved onto what both yourself and AW said and then into a general rant about religious ignorance (never to be confused with stupidity). As of yet, I have failed to see any form of intelligent retort from AW on what I said in my first post, so I can only assume that he wholeheartedly agrees with me.

Thor, what exactly do you think they will be putting into the children's minds? That Obama is next to God? That he was sent by God to do his work? That Americans are the new Chosen People? I'm pretty sure that thats already taught to many school children about Bush...Your irrational ideas are idiotic and come from fear. Fear that children will be taught to think for themselves and that when its over, they won't choose the same outdated beliefs that you chose as a young person.

The new liberal agenda, as supported by Obama, is approaching that of socialism...the step that comes before communism.Folks who are brainwashed rarely know it. I'll pay more attention to what somebody your age has to say on the subject when you've shown the ability to think enough to understand what you're talking about instead of just parroting what you get off the liberal internet...something future generations may soon not have the ability to do at all (at least in this country).

Age age age age.... When are you going to learn that just because you are more ancient than I am, it does not automatically make you smarter, wiser or more aware. It would be like me responding to every comment you make by saying that your opinion means nothing because it must be brought on by your ever-increasing senility.
Now if we were to observe history and relate it to the present, lets look at recent history in the American Government.
A devestating attack on a public icon on home soil causes fear and outrage amongst the people. They call upon their leader to do something and he does. He uses his vast powers and starts attacking a foreign nation. The world frowns but does nothing to really stop him. He then sets his sites on another nation and attacks. The world frowns more, but again, does nothing to stop him. He then sets his sites on another nation....
Oh wait, is that Bush or Hitler?
See how easy it is to compare moments in history to moments of today? By your logic, a meer similarity is almost equal to the performing of the same acts. So I ask you sir, please grow up. The commies are no longer the enemies. They are not lurking everywhere, waiting to pop up and bite you in the ass. Rad hates the commies too, but atleast he doesn't see them everywhere.

Niether you nor Rad would know either one if they bit you in the ass!I'll give you a hint: The world is not as it seems when viewing it through the internet. Likely it'll take you another twenty years or so to figure that out for yourself.

dude, I recon I'm older than you and it's quite apperent that I have way more experience. Your constant conspiracy theories are comical. You carry on about the liberal media agenda yet you post right wing loonacy from the said media. You fear that liberal ideas of public child care are somehow similar to fascist history, yet you support a burocracy that is more fascist than most of the world.I can't make you see the light.I can't make you see evidence.I can't even make you see history. But I can ask you this... who do you want to provide care to your child? the church? make sure it's a church that shares your valuesa corporation? make sure it's a corporation that shares your valuesthe public sector? Make sure you vote
