Well, I haven't exactly been extremely active this summer, and my pants are getting to be too tight. Seeing as that I don't have the money to buy new pants, and these still fit enough, I figure I"ll go the healthy route and slim up a bit.Now other than the basic "eat better, eat less, watch your intake, and exercise" is there much I can do especially for my waist, or am I stuck with sit ups, crunches, and static holds?I really only need to lose about an inch or two. I'm not over weight, just too much in the middle to cope with.

Maybe I just shouldn't wear them.

Well you hit the key points, eatting healthier and exercise. These are vital in losing weight.Another thing to keep in mind is not over eatting, regardless if it's healthy or not. Eatting until content is better than eatting until you are full.

As it has been said many times before, you cannot spot lose weight. Your body sheds it where it gained it last, regardless of what exercise you do. Lots of crunches/sit ups etc will only mean your abdominal muscles will increase in size, which will make your waist bigger.

so stick to running then?
Yes, this is the last place I gained the weight, so that shouldn't be a problem
I haven't started a regiment yet, this is prep-phase :P

i was a size 40, down to 34 now after 5 or 6 months. Jumping jacks, push ups and pull ups helped me.Though probably more so then the exercises was how often i'd do them. Since I was trying to burn fat more then build muscle.I'd say do 10 push ups and weight 15 minutes and continue. So I never worn my muscles out.

Running is very good, for everything. The heart, bones, weight loss and general well being.

Deal.Sold me on running.Any idea how to keep entertained as you run? I hate running because I"m always bored. Add to that, running with people doesn't help because usually no one talks cause they're breathing.

Won't the headphones feel bad, sweaty or something, as I run?

Get little in ear phones, and take some energizing music.
