Then again there are a lot of Daytona 500 people in Florida if you get what I mean. heheh. If the cartoon's Hank Hill was a real person he would have voted Bush.
-
Fellow Moderates, please vote for Kerry
-
56% of the Hispanic community voted for Bush in Florida. I think sexpot said only 35% were gonna vote for him or something like that, but the Floridian Hispanic/Latino community supported Bush.
-
Although it's too early to be 100% sure, it seems like President Bush has carried the 2004 elections. For those of us that didn't support President Bush (myself included), the best we can hope for is unified and productive four years. This means coming together and ultimately giving the President the benefit of the doubt. Indeed, we should all hope the best for the next presidential term.Assuming your victory, Mr. Bush, good luck with your next term! As always, I'm a patriot before being a partisan, and this country can count on my support with President Bush at its helm. Goodnight all…

sigh Ohio. That's all they've been talking about in the news for well over 3 hours. Time to get some sleep. What's that? It's 6am? Oh yeah, I'll sleep until 12. heheh.
-
lol dang websex, I went to bed at 1 & that was late for me. It's about 9:30 now, and I'm fixinta hit the weight room. After they projected Ohio to Bush and with Bush having an overwhelming popular vote, I hit the hay. Woke up this morning to hear "Kerry refuses to admit defeat & wont concede to Bush." I made sure we were still way ahead & then laughed. Bush has the popular vote, the majority of the states, and should be the electoral vote. If lawsuits & other crap comes into play I still think Bush should win. Win you have most of the geographical country & most of the popular vote it should be a shoe-in IMO.
-
Ohio looks like it will almost surely go to Bush. However, I think almost no news organization is willing to make the final call, particularly considering our experience with FLA last election (Gore wins! No, wait, Bush wins! Gore wins! Bush wins!). People are being more cautious this year.
-
I live in Ohio and it's pretty confusing here. The popular vote between Bush and Kerry are really close. Also, we have 135,000 provisional ballots that have not been counted yet. And I hear they have until Nov. 12/13? to count those. Also, actual voting didn't end in some places in Ohio until 1:00am. There were 4-6 hour waits to vote in some areas. So, I think it's still kind of in the air here.

Kerry Concedes. Wash. Post: Kerry Concedes
-
then i apologize. i thought you said most minorities would "voluntarily" vote for Kerry. I musta misunderstood something. I saw where they said 86% of African Amercians voted for Kerry, and that's just pathetic. I could go on & on about that, but I wont. I just heard Kerry called Bush to concede, so it's over.
-
I just heard on the radio Kerry conceded.
-
Yup, and he has dropped all legal challenges. We will not see a repeat of 2000. CNN
-
Last night... errr early his morning I was beginning to think another Florida incedent was about to take place.Right now, I think next election the democrats are going to win.
-
Because it goes to show that African Americans really are "racist" (for lack of a better word) & vote democrat even though Kerry (and Clinton for that matter) havent done anything to help the black community. Several of Bush's "employees" are African American. Colin Powell is the first that comes to mind. Why are black people so biased to vote Democrat and not Republican? In our local polls it showed that 96% (thats right 4% away from 100%) voted for the black democratic candidate. 3% was for a white democrat, and the 1% was made up of the other.
-
Yeah, it's a good thing that we had quicker closure this year than 2004. As far as 2008 is concerned, it's very hard to tell. I couldn't even guess the candidates in the next election, particularly the GOP candidates. No one in the current administration will run (certainly not Cheney--his health is too shaky), and I can't think of other obvious candidates. Anyway, I won't align myself with either party until I know the candidates.
-
I know what you mean. I consider myself an independent. But I just have a feeling that after Bush's term is over people are going to want a democrat in office. There have been rumors that Hilary Clinton will be running in the 2008 election. lol. I found that kind of funny, I'm not sure why.
-
How is choosing one white candidate over another white candidate "racist"? Both parties target and appeal to certain demographics. African-Americans are just one among many groups that typically vote for a certain party.
Besides, calling an entire race "racist" is suspect in its own right. People are individuals; why judge them as groups?
-
There is a lot of hatred in this country for Hillary Clinton. I think most (but not all) of her policies are sensible, and that she is an extremely bright woman, but I do not think that she is electable.Anyway, we'll see.
-
I said for a lack of better word. What was I gonna say? Partiest?
-
I think Donald Trump would make a good president.
-
In reply to: I said for a lack of better word. What was I gonna say? Partiest? Lol. Yes, "partiest" sounds funny--it sounds kind of like "party animal." However, part of what makes it funny is that it's so innocuous, particularly since most people are "partiests." There are few independent demographic groups in this country.
