So has anyone here had jock itch before? I seem to have acquired it for the first time. The rash is on my scrotum and inner thighs, but here's my real concern. I just found a little bump on the bottom of my shaft and what scares me is it looks like a really really tiny wart. Now I jut shaved the other day so maybe I opened up a cut or something but my question is does this sound like it's a symptom of jock itch on the shaft or should I be freaking out running to planned parenthood this week? I had an STD check in June before my fight because I had to get licensed but I wasn't checked for herpes or warts.

A fungal infection like jock itch can cause small bumps, so I would just use the jock itch cream (rub it in well). The bump might take a little longer than the rest of the rash to go, but it should go within a week.

Good to hear, I didn't realize I had it until the other day when I was shaving and I happened to notice the area was white and dry looking, the next day that area had turned red. I've been using the cream 3 times a day though so I hope for it to be gone asap!

I found my inner thigh and scrotum very itchy, but I am not sure if that is Jock itch. How to identify it? any special symptoms?I have never had sex with anyone before. Is there still a chance I may have caught a jock itch?

Yes, you can get jock itch without having sex. It can be started from fungus spores floating in the air.The term 'jock itch' covers any itchy fungal infection of the crotch area. Fungal (yeast) infections are by far the most common infections of the skin. They can come up anywhere, but they are particularly likely in areas that are most sweaty and dark, like the crotch or the butt-crack or between toes. Fungal infections may have one or several (but not usually all) of:Flaking skin,A smell,Itchiness,Redness. In general, for any of these symptoms it's simplest to try an anti-fungal cream first. You can get them without prescription, and they do no harm if the skin disease turns out not to be fungal.

I had it under my arms once. I went to the doctor because my armpits used to itch really bad. I thought I was allergic to my deodorant. turned out to be a fungal infection like jock itch. The doctor and I determined that I probably got it from my bath towel. he told me not to use my bath towel more than twice. When I get out of the shower, I dry my face then usually dry off my crotch and butt and legs. then my torso, chest and arm pits etc... We think I was drying my arm pits with the part of the towel that could of dried off my crotch, transferring some of the fungal spores to my arm pits.strange but true... I basically had 'Jock Itch' in my arm pits.
