I taught in High School not long ago, so I have a better idea than you probably think as to what goes on there. It's gone way downhill from when I attended. Is that what you're calling progress? As for freedom, there must always be self-imposed boundaries to it. Otherwise, we encroach on another person's freedom while expressing our own. A line must obviously (to anyone with any common sense) be drawn somewhere. If you want to operate your life as if it's a "free for all", you go right ahead and see where it gets you.

That's where solialism sits...but Obama is certainly trying to catch us (the US) up.

And whats wrong with socialism? You can't fuck over the little guys as much? Not that you support the fucking of other guys...
-
Yeah.. maybe being liberal on these topics is the way to go. Fucking conservative in power here isnt doing such a good job! Wish I never would have voted for him the 1st time he got in!!!

Socialism? It doesn't work. Never has...never will. You see, there is only a finite amount of resources. So, in order to give more to the "little guy" you have to take it away from the "big guy". That's all well and fine...but human nature is to want more than what we have. So there is always a pressure to have more...but in socialism, you can't. You can go to a bar and have two beers...that's all. As soon as just one person says he wants three, the game's over. Socialism just drives this aspect underground...as happened with the Soviet Union. 16% of their GNP was tied up in the black market. So the folks in power got their third beer...and then some. Nothing changes with socialism...except the widening of the gap between the "haves" and the "have nots". Promises made are empty ones...designed to convince you to give the control you have in a democracy over to the government. That's what it's really all about.

That, I'll agree with. Perfect in theory, not so much in practice.

I said Socialism, not Communism.

But the two of them aren't that different, really. But that's a whole 'nother thing to itself.

Socialism: Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and a society characterized by equality for all individuals, with an egalitarian method of compensation. Socialism Communism: Communism (from Latin communis = "common") is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general. -a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership Communism

I would do no such thing...and your attempts to paint me in a bad light because I disagree with you are just really old and tired.
I can be adult enough to apologize, that didn't come out right. I mean to say your extreme intolerant views reminds me of a person who would picket a gay soldiers funeral. I didn't mean for it to come out saying you personally would so such a thing.
Quote:
That same rationale can be used to justify anything. Should a killer be allowed to kill because that's how he wants to live his life? No. There are limits we must have...lines that must be drawn. The Bible draws those lines for us...we can choose to head them, or not. As for what "the big deal" is, I think I just pointed it out. Personally, no, I don't care what you do behind closed doors...but when gay activists try to brainwash children, it's gone way too far.
First off, way to quote me but leaving out the next important sentence
"I should be allowed to live this one life on my terms as long as I am not breaking any laws (and last I checked there was no law saying I am not allowed to be gay)."
It makes your whole freaking murderer/killer crap out the window. You use such extreme views by trying to put murderers and gay people on the same line, and we are nothing close. You cannot even compares gay people wanting to marry to murderers wanting to kill people, so I really wish you'd drop it.
Secondly, gay people are not trying to brainwash children, they are trying to teach them tolerance. Trying to teach people that it's okay to be who you are and not to live in fear. I said this before but if a program like this saves children from suicide is it not worth it?? I don't think you have any clue how many young people die each year because they are homosexual and don't know how to deal with it... it because they are teased and ridiculed to the point of committing suicide.
Side Note... just recently there was a 15-year-old boy who committed suicide because he was gay. (I will try and find the article and post it, but I'm sure most of you heard about this). This boy was teased unmercifully and one day the kids at school told him he should go home and kill himself because no one would care if a "faggot" died anyways. So the boy went home that day and killed himself. One of the worst parts of the story is teachers heard this going on and never said a word or told the other children to stop.
Now imagine if that child had a safe place he could have gone to that could of help him coup with being gay? Better yet, imagine if all those kids who teased this boy were taught tolerance at a younger age... I bet you things would have turned out a lot differently for this boy.
Teaching someone tolerance does not make him or her gay/bisexual etc, and just because you have tolerance for something doesn't even mean you have to agree with it. It's simply about accepting each other for who we are, whether we like their "actions" or not. (And don't give me the freaking murder crap again, you know exactly what I am talking about so don't try and turn it around).

I did a great walk on a warm day with a good dog, right up the mountain that sits less than 200 yards from me, into the trees and watching deer and damiens..I mean squirrels run around, a very good time.
-
Iv said all I can say eddie, you keep trying, you have a 'nicer' way of saying the same shit any ways, Im gonna go for a ride and take my dog to get a bath and her claws filed off and her anal glands squeezed, I am not fucking doing that, thats the job of the vet, that and her shots, you keep trying, I give up for the day, other shit is more pressing.

So, as a Christian, I see it as anti-Christian teaching. In addition, teaching about tolerance is not Biblical. Teaching acceptance is. I accept you...absolutely no problem. What I do not accept is homosexual behavior, and I certainly do not accept it being taught to children as acceptable behavior. Find another way of teaching tolerance than by giving examples of Adam and Steve (instead of Adam and Eve).I should add that the story of the 15-yr old boy is tragic. It never should have been allowed to go that far. But here's the thing...if folks had been taught to accept the person instead of tolerate them, this would never have happened. Can you see how it is possible to accept the person, but not some of the things they do? That is where I'm coming from. And I will not abide by kids, my kids, being taught by a public school that a particular behavior is OK when I say it is not. This goes for homosexual behavior as well as others.
-
Alright, the only time I've even heard reference to Adam and Steve, was in Will & Grace, and I hardly see that TV show, as educational, but I suppose it could be, too.I haven't seen gay activists anywhere teaching that it was A&S, not A&E. Show me?And as far as different beliefs go, doesn't that happen all the time in school? You can still tell your kids, "Even though Mr./Mrs. whoever says this is right, I say it is not, and that's what you should believe?" But even that, I have a hard time saying.Children aren't coloring books, you don't get to fill them with all your favorite colors.

Ugh fuck me I am so tired of hearing that. It almost makes me want to bang my head against the wall everytime I hear someone say that!!I love how you pick and choose what you wish to follow from the bible (Well not just you, but people like you who preach this crap). Do you eat pork? Wear poly-blend clothing? Do you tell female teachers/pastors they need to give up their jobs? If your brother(s) (if you have any) dies before giving his wife a child are you willing to have sex with her until you bear her a child? These are all rules that are to be followed in the bible… so you practice what you preach, Thor?
