And charge at him? Excellent advice. I'd also recommend insulting his race while you're charging.
Just curious: Where did you copy that list from?
Can marijuana harm you in a lot of ways?

hm... not sure, accually i think i have this wrong. It does lower your sperm count and disable your learning capability. everything else is for ciggarets. marijuana may cause cancer, not sure. But you know, any smoke, even fire smoke can damage your resperatory correct?
\> exellent advise Id also recomend insulting his race while your at it?
ehem? i dont asume that drug dealers are going to be any single race at all. (the charging thing was a joke, but i would be pretty angry at him/her never the less.)
Honestly i would dispise anyone who tried to sell me drugs, i know they're interested in your money more then they are interested in killing you. but to keep myself from accepting drugs i've tried to give myself the delusion that drug dealers are trying to get you to kill yourself.
They're just capitalists, like the people who sell skis, motorcycles, cigarettes, vodka, and Big Macs.
All smoke from burning stuff certainly is bad for your respiratory system, and probably can cause cancer. But don't despise people, hee, until you understand them better. By all means avoid drugs, but do so because that's your decision.
The horrible capitalist! OH NO! lol
Isn't smoking marijuana worse for you than smoking cigarettes? There are many reasons why it is not. You may have heard that one joint is equal to ten cigarrettes'' but this is exaggerated and misleading. Marijuana does contain more tar than tobacco -- but low tar cigarettes cause just as much cancer, so what is that supposed to mean? Scientists have shown that smoking any plant is bad for your lungs, because it increases the number of `lesions' in your small airways. This usually does not threaten your life, but there is a chance it will lead to infections. Marijuana users who are worried about this can find less harmful ways of taking marijuana like eating or vaporizing. (Be careful -- marijuana is safe to eat -- but tobacco is not, you might overdose!) Marijuana does not seem to cause cancer the way tobacco does, though. Here is a list of interesting facts about marijuana smoking and tobacco smoking:Marijuana smokers generally don't chain smoke, and so they smoke less. (Marijuana is not physically addictive like tobacco.) The more potent marijuana is, the less a smoker will use at a time. Tobacco contains nicotine, and marijuana doesn't. Nicotine may harden the arteries and may be responsible for much of the heart disease caused by tobacco. New research has found that it may also cause a lot of the cancer in tobacco smokers and people who live or work where tobacco is smoked. This is because it breaks down into a cancer causing chemical called `N Nitrosamine' when it is burned (and maybe even while it is inside the body as well.) Marijuana contains THC. THC is a bronchial dilator, which means it works like a cough drop and opens up your lungs, which aids clearance of smoke and dirt. Nicotine does just the opposite; it makes your lungs bunch up and makes it harder to cough anything up. There are benefits from marijuana (besides bronchial dilation) that you don't get from tobacco. Mainly, marijuana makes you relax, which improves your health and well-being. Scientists do not really know what it is that causes malignant lung cancer in tobacco. Many think it may be a substance known as Lead 210. Of course, there are many other theories as to what does cause cancer, but if this is true, it is easy to see why NO CASE OF LUNG CANCER RESULTING FROM MARIJUANA USE ALONE HAS EVER BEEN DOCUMENTED, because tobacco contains much more of this substance than marijuana. Marijuana laws make it harder to use marijuana without damaging your body. Water-pipes are illegal in many states. Filtered cigarettes, vaporizers, and inhalers have to be mass produced, which is hard to arrange `underground.' People don't eat marijuana often because you need more to get as high that way, and it isn't cheap or easy to get (which is the reason why some people will stoop to smoking leaves.) This may sound funny to you -- but the more legal marijuana gets, the safer it is. It is pretty obvious to users that marijuana prohibition laws are not
for their own good.'' In addition to the above, legal marijuana would be clean and free from adulturants. Some people add other drugs to marijuana before they sell it. Some people spray room freshener on it or soak in in chemicals like formaldehyde! A lot of the marijuana is grown outdoors, where it may be sprayed with pesticides or contaminated with dangerous fungi. If the government really cared about our health, they would form an agency which would make sure only quality marijuana was sold. This would be cheaper than keeping it illegal, and it would keep people from getting hurt and going to the emergency room.http://www.xs4all.nl/~4david/3.html#top
That site makes a lot of good points, but one minor thing really bugs me.In reply to:In contrast, many legal drugs cause hundreds to hundreds of thousands of deaths per year, foremost among them are alcohol, nicotine, valium, aspirin, and caffiene. In reply to:Doctors determine how safe a drug is by measuring how much it takes to kill a person (they call this the LD50) and comparing it to the amount of the drug which is usually taken (ED50). This makes marijuana hundreds of times safer than alcohol, tobacco, or caffeine.Caffeine has such a ridiculously high LD50, it is not possible to overdose on it (aside from caffeine pills maybe?). I remember hearing that it would take about 100-300 (it was 100, 200, or 300) cups of coffee to make caffeine lethal to the average person.I like a lot of the stuff that the site says. I still don't plan on smoking weed every in my life though.
EHEM!!!when your looking at the dangers of a drug you dont look at the lesser of 2(3,4,etc.) evils. you see what harm it does to you. and ALL abused drugs are bad. period. capitalisim isn't a race.
\> ALL abused drugs are bad
That's a sweeping, simple minded generalzation, if by that you mean "all drugs that tend to be abused or are illegal". In the real world, everything isn't so clearly black and white.
Abused: overdosed, or used when not nessesary. (my definition)All drugs that are abused are bad for you
"Necessary"? Who gets to define that? Alcohol, caffeine, and Big Macs fit that definition.Skiing is not necessary, and can be dangerous. But I like it.

I knew someone who was a coffee fiend - he drank many double-strength cups through the day, from waking up to two quick ones before bed to lessen the withdrawal headache on waking up. He checked against the LD50, and found he was getting very close. He was addicted both physically and psychologically (though he was able to give it up and endure three days of blinding headaches).

Is it possible to taper off over some period, rather than go cold turkey? (And heroin, too?)
i just realized how hilarious this is... we're arguing over whether or not marijuana is bad for you. Here's a hint, list all of the good things that will happen if somone starts trying and using marijuana.
well that wuz a stupid thing to ask OF COURSE IT IS, IT CAN GIVE YOU LUNG OR THROAT CANCER DUH
Some people enjoy the feeling of euphoria (i.e., the high). Some people claim it settles their stomach, or increases their appetite if they're malnourished from undereating (which can be caused by some medical conditions or chemotherapy). There certainly are downsides to smoking marijuana, but people should educate themselves on the subject, and make an informed decision on whether they're going to use it, taking into account that it is illegal.Marinol is a legal prescription drug used to stimulate the appetite, often prescribed to people on chemo. Its active ingredient is the (main) active ingredient in marijuana. Some oncologists suggest smoking marijuana for the same purpose (the prescription is very expensive).Skiing is (statistically) bad for your health as well. People should be allowed to do it, but they should understand the risks first.
Skiiing is a sport, Marijuana is a drug. It's silly to try and compair the 2. I dont see how skiing could be bad for your health. Even though i'm an expert. It's dangerous, but so are all sports to some degree. From doing jump exersizes in tae kwon do, skiing shouldn't be bad for you as long as you dont get injured. now, i'm going to make a metiphor. Alot of things make you feel good, bullying makes you feel good about yourself in most cases, does that mean that people should have the choice whether or not to do it? hell no! now for somthing more centered on the self, Cigarrets, they're depressent drugs i think, considering the nicotine is ment to relax you and make you "feel good" and similar to what people know about ciggarets, smoking doesn't magically make you "lose weight", smoking kills your taste buds, this makes food taste like nothing, hence, you dont eat as much. Marijuana is just gonna cause more mental problems for those who dont eat as much as they should because they have mental problems, are you sugjesting to switch one mental problem with another? You know, not all of the bad drugs are illegal, not just ciggaretts, but many perscription drugs are made to make a person healty, but sick later on just so they'll keep buying their drugs.
> Skiiing is a sport, Marijuana is a drug. It's silly to try and compair the 2.
No one needs to ski, unless they're professional skiers, and that's the way they earn their living. There are very few such people. For the great majority of people, they're both done for pleasure. To the extent that skiing will physically condition you, spending two hours (probably more if you live in a New England city) in a car, the cost of gas and equipment, etc.; you might as well run if conditioning is your goal.
> I dont see how skiing could be bad for your health. Even though i'm an expert. It's dangerous, but so are all sports to some degree. From doing jump exersizes in tae kwon do, skiing shouldn't be bad for you as long as you dont get injured.
As long as you don't get injured? That is the problem! A lot of people get hurt while skiing. At Killington (Vermont), the clinic is always full, and the ski patrol keeps pretty busy sledding in people who've had accidents on the slope. It's also potentially dangerous to drive on icy roads to get to the ski area.
> Alot of things make you feel good, bullying makes you feel
Bullying deprives other people of their rights. Smoking cigarettes (in private), marijuana (in private), and skiing do not. That is what liberty is about: getting to chose how you want to run the parts of your life that don't impinge on the rights of others.
> for those who dont eat as much as they should because they have mental problems
Who said anything about mental problems? I didn't. Go talk to folks who have cancer, and/or are on chemotherapy.
I don't understand your last sentence at all. Are you reading your stuff after you type it, but before you hit the "Continue" (post) button?
my last sentence ment that drug companies make drugs that dont work, so that people arn't cured, and will keep buying the drugs. Of course the drugs work to only a small degree, so people have a good reason to buy them. That's what i ment. the subject of this thread is, can marijuana harm you in alot of ways. It depends what you meen by alot. My answer is yes. I'm not sure what your answer is, all that i know is you strongly believe there are things worse then marijuana, that's true. You think marijuana only affects the person trying it? what if a marijuana user's freind came, noticed him in the act and got involved too, what if the user got arrested, his freinds, or relavites would probably get involved as well. (unless the guy lives alone)Do you honestly agree with this statement (in full)."when your old enough, it's your choice to try and use marijuana, and it's the right choice to do so"If not, then you just like argueing with my statements, which is ok with me. i just want to know if you accually agree with people trying marijuana. btw: marijuana is addictive correct?
this is kinda off subject, but when i was at school other day one of my freinds got a peice of juicy fruit gum from one of his freinds and split it half and gave one half to me, by the end of the day I was high. i have got juicy fruit gum from my feind's freind 3 times after that on different days and got high each time on only a half of a peice. I wonder if Im alergic to juicy fruit gum or did the freind put some kind of drug on it. I have not chewed any juicy fruit gum from any one or where since then so i don;t know if im alergic or if there were some kind of drug on it (the gum didn't taste any different by the way)
