I played baseball when I was really young. Then I got into weight lifting and football for a while. Now I'm too busy with work and school to do it full time. I just work out two or three times a week.

Sports

I used to do swimming... I hated it, like I hate all sports. I am just not a competitive person... And I end up letting the other person have the win, since they obviously want it so much more than I do. Usually this pisses everyone off.

Hey if I took up cricket would I have to shower with other men?
-
Yea, you do lol if you want to!...which is a yes cause after any sport you will stink! in gym you have to take showers too!You take showers in stall so do not worry about the other guys...though some places are different?
-
I do enjoy sports, though not so much one where you challenge another player, or another team (with the exception of kickboxing).I enjoy kickboxing (though don't do it much anymore), but mostly kayaking, mountain biking and other outdoor stuff.I prefer to set goals and challenge myself. It's great.

-
every gym I been in from my current days at teh rock gym to the swimming pool to fmy high school and jr high and jobs with chemical shtat we had to change clothes and shower daily at work it was always a few center polls with multiple shower heads on them spraying outward so you could stand around them in a circle and speed hsit up by doing multiple people at at time.Iv never seen the stalls for showers in a public place, aside from the local county jail
-
Its how our shower system is built, probaly cause the school was build it 1963... Most sports teams at least soccer hockey and baseball have these types of showers. Dunno about Cricket, You are in England, how are the showers in your school SYL?
-
I've started kickboxing before 1 year, and I'm really enjoying it. I've also done some bodybuilding training but I couldn't stand it anymore, since I've got many things to do before exams and graduation. Anyway, the gym is only at most 5 mins away from my home and I don't have to shower there. So, this isn't a problem for me :P

lol its not so bad,in middleville they had a swimming pool in the highschool which was open to the public tuesdays and thursdays, well the locker room they had was just shower heads coming out of the walls,i had no problem with stripping down after being in a chlorinated pool so,but i got bored once and started exploring when i went into one of the other locker rooms were just shower head out of the walls

Yah, I love running (cross country and track), swimming, biking, triathlon, tennis, hockey, soccer, north american football, fencing, and just about anything outdoors. I quit soccer and hockey some number of years ago, and quit fencing last year. I pickup the first two occasionally, although fencing isn't exactly a pick up sport... in the middle of a bar, "Scurvy nave, I challenge you to a duel of blades" I get out and play tennis with a few friends as well. Most of my time spent on athletics is with the first four though. I love endurance events because I feel this enormous obstacle that I'm trying to overcome, and the feeling of knowing my training and perseverence have payed off when I do well is amazing. The endorphine rush from finishing a long and tiring race is just amazing. That and the fact that I'm competitive with others and myself. I'm always wanting to improve and do the best I possibly I can so I train my ass off and eat properly to try to accomplish that. I think the fact that I wasn't much of an endurance athlete prior to gr. 10 also helps with my motivation, because it helped prove to myself how much improvement I can make with training when I outcompete people who've been doing those things since they were in elementary or junior high. You could say that I love sports and I love being outside and doing things that test my body and mind. I've never tried cricket and am not even completely sure how it's played. If you want to play cricket though then I suggest it. If it's something you'll enjoy, then don't worry about how good you are. Persevere at something you enjoy, and you'll get better and have fun in the process.

In reply to: Its how our shower system is built, probaly cause the school was build it 1963... Most sports teams at least soccer hockey and baseball have these types of showers. Dunno about Cricket, You are in England, how are the showers in your school SYL? Dude I've finished school, I'm in college now. And as it happens the showers at my school didnt work so we all had to stibnk after sports but frankly I was grateful to not have to shower with the other lads, though the idea bothers me less now. Whats more the gym I used to frequent until I moved lacked showers, I'd just shower when I got home.

Hey what was fencing like?
-
I do a bit of showjumping from time to time if you can class that as a sport. Am pretty crap at it really but hang on and try not to fall off
-
I'm really into sports. Basktball, tennis, football, hockey, volleyball, running...and yeah

Very different from anything else I've done. It's fun, although also the most competitive thing I've ever done. It's not like most sports where you can feel moderately content in losing, because it's one on one and you're trying to land strikes on another person with a metal object. It's like boxing, only faster and with more strategy. When it gets serious, you get to the point where you hate the other person, especially if they're hitting so hard that it bruises (happens a lot).I loved it, but I just didn't have time. The other side is that it didn't train both legs/arms evenly, because I would always have right foot forward and right arm holding the blade - so that kind of bugged me. Also, sports are supposed to give a sense of fulfillment. Fencing was way over competitive because, for me at least, it was less of a self challenge and more of a challenge to be able to beat everyone else. The best part of it though, was it was a massive adrenaline rush and I've never done another sport that tests your reflexes, speed, fine motor control, and ability to think clearly to the extent that fencing did.
