Nope, but if they want me to donate a single dollar, they need to show me that they can be humane to people as well.Sure, there are times when I perfer the company of animals instead of people, but even I wouldn't go as far as saying a gruesome murder is like eating a chicken. I'm sure there are better ways in getting your point across.

I don't think that all animal right activists (and certainly not all people who are concerned with animal rights) are terrorists. There certainly is an issue with the way livestock is raised and slaughtered in industrial settings in the U.S. It's far more cruel than it needs to be, even if you're not a vegetarian.

This thread is gone to shit.

Sorry, I didn't know which animal rights activists you were referring to.Hey, have you ever noticed that black people think....
But seriously, the "all" was clearly implied by the sentence, even if that was not your intent.

I wonder what Tim Mclean thought of PETA. Or how he would feel them trying to use his death as an advertisement.
-
its disgusting. tomorrow at 10 am (aug. 7th) they are having a moment of silence for him. doesnt matter the time zone, but it would be appreciated if people remembered this
-
Okay, maybe you didn't imply "all", but you certainly implied "the preponderance of".I have noticed PETA doing that, but not lately. I have not noticed other animal right organizations doing it. But there are radical environmental organizations that have committed acts of violence.
-
wow.. how disrespectful. Not only did I want this thread to stay on topic. I SPOKE MY FRIGGIN REQUEST.Shows how much some members even give a fuck about anyone elses feelings. This disgusts me.

The topic of PETA came up...and the inevitable happened.People will argue over seemingly petty things in almost every thread. It's how it is on the Internet. You have to either zen it out (i.e., don't pay attention), or you can get pissed off.
-
Obviously Im pissed off. EVERYONE READ THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD. Then use your brain.
-
like i said..this thread is gone to shit. lol.

The topic of PETA came up when you posted that updated article...

I dont think of Tim as SOME guy.. I think of Tim as someones family member... someones friend.. someones son.I guess when the next person makes a thread about one of their family members dieing.. Ill just laugh it up and go off topic. Im not upset.. Im disgusted.

dont you realize that if they dont know the person, and/or are related to them, they can make any rude comment they want and not feel guilty? get with it girl!!! None of us knew Tim in person, but I guess that means we dont have to be considerate of other people who knew him/are affected by this. lol.. i think. sighwow, i reek of sarcasm.

I love how the general public would look at US and consider us rude/disrespectful. Prime example of being wrong!
I guess our mothers were the ones who raised us properly.

Quote:dont you realize that if they dont know the person, and/or are related to them, they can make any rude comment they want and not feel guilty? get with it girl!!! I think thats taking it a bit far Ashley. No one here has made rude comments about Tim. I think everyone here agrees what happened to him was brutal and that a young life was taken too soon. But on the other side there are other parts of this topic that can be easily discussed like the whole PETA ad. It's all part of the whole broad topic now. Same with the young boy buying the laptop, the murderer not talking other than saying "please kill me" etc. It's all on topic.Again it's extremely sad what happened to Tim, and I hope the murderer gets the full extent of the law. Tim deserves justice.
