What non obvious things do you love or like?i like that in the fall with the leaf debri and such and a car drives through it theres this winding wind trail through the debri behind the car, i like the sound of a pilot pen against paper, the sound of a quarter falling, flipping from side to side, and spinning perfectly as well as the spherical look and watching it switch from heads to tails while it spinsthat gleam you see in slightly long grass when the wind blows through itso how bout it?

Things you Love

The brilliant possibilities of the contemplative mind in the dark, quiet, chill of night. The sound of the cicadas in the summer. Thunderstorms on the prairie. Rain hitting the car as I sleep (not driving though... well sometimes driving). Hearing my dog bounce across the floor before I even have the door open. Watching a heavy snow come down in a street light.

Making someone smile. Waking up in the morning, all warm in bed and knowing that I still have 15 minutes before I have to get up. Pregnant women going for walks. Not the ones with 5 other kids running around screaming cause they have chocolate stuck in their ears, I'm talking about new mothers to be. People who think they're great for buying the hands free kits for their mobile phones, ya know the ones with the ear piece and the microphone clipped to their collar, but when they get a phone call they keep their phone in one hand and pull the microphone closer to their mouth with the other hand.Seeing a girl being all lovey-dovey over a guy. When you see the guy do it to the girl, chances are he's trying to get a little something, when the girl does it ya know its love.Listening to a great bit of music and just as you're relaxing, a warm shiver runs down your spine.

I like a helicopter view of the city, as though I was the largest cloud of the day, peering down into the large city world, dominated by the tall, skyscraping towers of black and light, while it snowed, not rigorously, but rather gently down covering the sidewalks in a silent whisper of white cheer, the sky white and gray as it cast its spell of white specks upon the winter world.I like the warm stream of breaths in the winter people let out with every effort made to speak, to communicate with lips that have been merely touched by the mid-winter, tickled to numbness, their cheeks red and frozen, cold lips awaiting a warming touch of a kiss from their other half, their exchange leaving their breaths with the taste of hot chocolate, warm, morning coffee that made their 15-minute wait for the 4 train so much more worth it.I like the wild, constant moving of a bar past midnight, where drunk was the new term for sober and people, dancing about in their sparkly dresses and somewhat formal clothing, moved their hips and body to the reverberating music that came from the unseen speakers in the corner blasting their intense, heart-pumping words off the granite countertops of the bar and the sparkling drinks people ordered, the flashing lights scanning, swarming throughout the club like searchlights searching for something among the crowd, something of theirs lost in every dance move someone made, every step someone took, every drink someone stole from another's martini, and a lost face somewhere inside the crowd, wishing that she herself was what the flashing, multi-colored lights dancing about with the people in the nightclub was looking for, obviously not noticed, her face unseen, her expression overlooked by everyone and their drunken ignorance.I like these images and the thoughts that come to mind - thoughts that remind me of one of the many things I hold dearest to myself

I love going to mi abuela's house after school in the winter to visit and her house smells like the banana bread candle she always burns. Her house is always so toasty warm and cozy. I love the smell of my mom's pillow. And I love sleeping in my parent's bed and my oldest brother's bed. I love hearing babies laugh and when they try to get up but keep falling back down. And watching little girls play with each other's hair.

Scents of people I Love. My Girlfriend, My Nana, My Uncle, My Dad.Her Perfume and natural scent, the smell of Tide and old house, Red axe and cigarrettes, and grease/gasoline and paint.

i also love the way objects can be lit up as if it were daylight, either by the full moon or the purple tint they get during a lightning flash, the gleam cats get in their eyes when the light hits them, and i love it when things work after you put them back together thats always nice

I love to hear my kids laugh. I love to watch them sleep. I love when my dog puts his his head on my lap and looks up at me. I love the smell of babies and I love to be held when I go to sleep.

Napping in my hammock under a corregated aluminum roof in the middle of a tropical rainstorm in Venezuela near the white sand beach. Too bad I live in San Diego. I'm this close from packing after posting that.

Sleeping on a beach, watching storms out over the ocean, the smell of fresh cut grass, when winter turns to spring or summer to fall, aaaand...stepping on a dead leaf that has a nice crunch to it. I hate when they look crunchy but don't crunch. It's a tease....

oooo...idk lol I meant grass actually haha. I'll fix it.

Lol I make those kinds of mistakes, too. It usually happens when I'm writing - it happened yesterday during class when my I was writing a summarization of a portion of this article on fast food and how it affects people, and I was writing "The writer's opinion can be pointed out in share," when he had asked me what the Share portion of the class direction was. When I finally got back to my notebook, I had found that I accidentally written "share" instead of the beginning of my point and I was forced to cross it out. My friend, seeing this, laughed so hard...I don't think this would've happened regularly, but my friend has a similar problem and she told me about it and I kind of think I somehow "picked it up" from her by hoping I didn't do that, too, or wondering if that would ever happen to me.

I like days where it's bright and sunny, but there are still those white puffy clouds randomly placed in the sky. overgrown, shady, gardens/parks/forests. the sea of lights on the ground, at night, that you can see from a hill or any elevated place(lights created by cars/street lights/ etc...). waking up on the weekend at the crack of dawn when nobody else is awake yet. looking at pictures of lightning streaks over a city at night. leaves peppered all over the ground in fall. the smell of cigarettes (because it reminds me of my mom)

I love the way the air smells after a soft afternoon rain, and how it smells slightly bitter sweet when hay and grass is freshly cut. I love the smell of a wood burning stove on a fall afternoon. I love to hear children laugh that deep belly laugh only they can make. I love to watch the leaves blow in the wind and dance across the lawn. I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee any time of the day. I love the way the smells of my mom’s cooking floats out side as you’re walking up the sidewalk to the porch. I love the way my dad’s sweater jacket still smells like his cologne long after it’s been washed. I love to watch my kitten and Chihuahua sleeping on the couch beside me as I write in my notebooks. I love it when the sun reflects off of the lake; it looks like thousands of tiny sparkles are just drifting in the waves. I like watching my kitten bat at the fish tank with her paws because she wants to catch the fish swimming inside.

I don't know exactly things I love, but I can describe few of my precious moments or experiences...1)Listening to a song on the piano with weird chords (like C#add9, F#6), on a rainy Sunday evening....2)Every ways my ex-girlfriends used to irritate me and the small fights after them. I prefer to love moments when someone disagree s with me...3) Drinking red wine with my closest friends in a small tavern hundreds kilometers away from any city.4) Being a part of a circle and it's very important living with some people you know so well...5) Starring at the old painting above my piano and thinking how my life could be, if I was living as a farmer in medieval ages

The kids I take care of Pam (the lady I work for was putting Bella to bed)and pam said to bella "who loves you more than mommy and daddy?" and usually she will say "Jesus".. and tonight she said me! it was pretty cute. I love these children! Cuddling up watching Backyardigans and Diego before they go to bed.

This is a lovely thread that really reminds me what is important.

I know what you mean, Pete. The little things in life. It's really nice to see so many people actually taking the time to "stop and smell the roses". As for myself?I love walking into a room to find my cat sitting like this . Or the way my guitar sounds after I've put fresh strings on it--the feeling is like I wiped the slate clean and it has a fresh sound to it; like the day I bought it. The feeling of looking at someone you don't even know, and seeing their eyes light up as their mouths curve upwards for a smile as they reciprocate yours. The feeling I get when I've heard a song and it just puts me into a state of relaxation. Or seeing a band on stage enjoying themselves immensely--that makes me want to do it more. Or the sound of a calm night as it snows. But best of all, that feeling as you're sleeping right before you transition from eyes closed into rem sleep.
